Rooftop Bag for 2017 Ford Escape With Raised Side Rails

Hi... My 2017 Ford Escape only has rails, no crossbars. Can I still use this bag or do I need to attach it to crossbars? Thanks much!

There is a rooftop bag you can use with just the raised side rails on your 2017 Ford Escape, but the Rhino-Rack Rooftop Cargo Bag # RRLB500 is designed to secure to rooftop cargo carriers.
Instead, I recommend the Rightline Gear Sport 2 # RL100S20, which has adjustable mounting straps which allow it to be installed on raised side rails like you have on your Escape, as you can see in the accompanying photo. This cargo bag has 15 cubic feet of available storage, measures 44" long x 36" wide x14" tall at the front and 19" tall at the back.
