This gunwale strap offers strength, security and convenience. It secures one of your boat's gunwales to your trailer, stores extra strap length during transportation, and makes the trailer more visible at night. 1,200 lbs Max load.
Features:
Specs:
Load your boat onto your trailer, open the buckle, connect the bottom S-hook of the Pro Series strap to the side of your trailer's frame, then connect the top S-hook to an anchor point on the gunwale of the boat. Pull the end of the strap through its buckle and turn the buckle down to tighten the strap. Secure the opposite gunwale with another strap (sold separately).
Note: Gunwale tie-downs should always be used along with a winch strap and a set of transom (stern) or bow tie-downs. All straps and cables should be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). To determine the maximum load, or break strength, of the strap, simply multiply the WLL by 3. The WLL is always one-third (1/3) of the maximum load.

This gunwale strap offers strength, security and convenience. It secures one of your boat's gunwales to your trailer, stores extra strap length during transportation, and makes the trailer more visible at night. 1,200 lbs Max load. This strap works perfectly to secure the transom of our sailboat to the trailer. The hooks stay in place so that one person can attach the strap without issue. As always eTrailer is quick to deliver and has a good assortment of products.
Works very good for my application and stern design. I have added a short length of chain to my trailer to facilitate using these straps. Easy on easy off and secure.
Does exactly what it is supposed to do. No issues with strap or hardware failure or wear yet.

Still fine as the day I started using it.Quality product.
It was another delightful experience. I ordered on line on Saturday and economy shipping had it here on Wednesday! Of course the price was best around. Can't go wrong with these folks.
Works great ,love the strap that holds the buckle from popping open
Product works as expected.
Excellent product, fair price.
Prompt service. Price error was quickly corrected. Have yet to try products.
Exactly as expected. Perfect.
Recently gave my boat trailer a facelift paint and all new parts. Replaced the gunwale Boat Buckle the one I had was looking it’s age still worked. But since everything on the trailer was new . I replaced it going to use it on another trailer for extra tie down. I would highly recommend the boat buckle tie down
This has a very positive lock, capable of putting significant pressure on the strap on the "close/lock" stroke. Very impressive. My old strap would eventually loosen up on rough roads, so I'm hoping this one will hold steady. It certainly appears that it will, but I'll have to wait to test it over the road.
Also love the velcro strap to hold the "leftover" strap material after tightening; used to be, I'd tuck it down under the live well cover-- now I don't have to.
Was very glad to be able to modify my old Fulton T600 winch to accommodate the strap. This will definitely be a better system, and the new rubber Y-stop is a great help, too. The old one was hard as a brick.
This strap worked awesome! It was purchased to prepare for a Canada trip. I thought I could use the old one I was using as a second strap, but that one loosened up on the dirt road. Glad I bought this one. It stayed tight as can be. Easy to lock, and having the Velcro straps helped keep the excess in place was a bonus. And the clips on the hooks helped keeping the strap in place to get it easily secured. As a example of the logging road used, I had to drive into town for a spark plug. A 2 hour round trip drive into the nearest town without the trailer, and I could only max out at 45 mph from all of the pot holes. From the picture, my boat is 63 inches wide.
Easy to use. Works well, durable and
The gunwale strap is very nice and fits my boat and trailer well
This Boat Buckle Strap Gunwale Tie-Down I bought from etrailer.com is one of the BEST Tie down Straps you could ever get. I was surprised to see when I opened up my delivery and saw the strap, it was they exact strap that when I bought my boat came with. and I give 8 years of worry free for this strap. etrailer has GREAT product that have nice quality stuff. Thanks etrailer for being there when I needed you most.

This tie down system is well made and works well with the optional pads. The clips on each hook ensure that they do not unhook from the trailer. That was a feature that I had on my previous tie down system and an option that I wasn't going to do without this time around. The tie down secures the boat easily and the extra strapping is easily and conveniently stored within a Velcro strap. A nice touch. I just installed the tie down and haven't had a chance to use it for any length of time, but it am expecting it to last for quite some time as it is quite well made.
This is a very high quality product. If you are looking for a tough secure strap to go over the top of your jon boat gunnels, this is a great choice. I could not find anything like this from my local marine dealers, only transom tie downs. Service from etrailer is well above the norm and I received personal emails keeping me informed on the status of my order.
Very satisfied with my BoatBuckle tie down strap. Finally a tie-down strap that is easy to use and fastens securely. After removing the strap from the plastic holder that it was shipped in, I had a little trouble threading the strap back through the buckle, but I found a video on Etrailer that helped alot. Thanks, great product.
I always hesitate to go all Stars on anything but this one is close. Excellent product in terms of design and it works great. Have used a lot of these over the years and I'd say these are the best I've found.
One thing worth noting, I am a fishing guide and this item sees daily use in all types of conditions.
Only improvement I could see is eliminating the rubber coated hooks and going straight galvanized. The rubber looks great and lasted on my almost exactly a year before it were off which is pretty impressive. A bit of rust on them, but of course traveling here in our mtns in the winter any metal stuff takes a beating from road salt even if if keep everything clean.
Great product though and will likely continue to buy them
Etrailer has done a exceptional job getting a quality product in bulk order to my company at a great price 2 years in a row. Shipping is fast and customer service is top notch. Look forward to working with them in the future. Melissa you rock. Thanks
Strap was everytrhing I had hoped for . Looks great and easy to install
The gunwale strap that holds my Gheenoe on the trailer is very old, so I wanted to buy a new one. The distance from one tie-down over the boat to the other is only 7 ft. I ordered the shortest strap ( 10 ft ) & incorrectly assumed that when the strap was tightened, it would fit. Unfortunately, that is not the case, & the buckle hangs down past the opposite tie-down when fully tightened. The new strap looks very nice, but it just doesn't work for me.

After a year, the strap has continued to hold up well. It holds our boat in place without releasing any pressure. It was a great purchase.
