Hi everybody, my name is Andy with etrailer.com. And today we're taking a look at Water Dragon's Underwater Green LED Light. If you we're looking to replace underwater lights on your boat, or if you're looking to add these kinds of lights to your boat, this might be a good option for you to consider. Let's take a closer look. Now, this led underwater light, as you can see, has three diodes, and those diodes are going to provide you a nice, bright, green color for your boat. Let me show you what this looks like here.

I have this connected to power, and as you can see those diodes light up real nice and bright. And even with my lights on, you can see that it emits quite a bit of light. Let me go ahead and turn my lights off here in the studio, just kinda give you a better demonstration. And as you can see, it really does throw out quite a bit of light. I'm gonna go to a wide view here, and you can just make me out here with the reflection of the light off of my white walls here.

And I'm gonna shine this here on my back wall. Now, these are premium LEDs, and so these LEDs are gonna be energy efficient and they're gonna be long lasting, and they're gonna be vibration resistant. I'm gonna turn my lights on here in the studio. And even with these overhead lights, you can see that this light on this underwater light is still very bright. So, then again, a really nice green color.

Now, as you can see, I'm gonna take off this stainless steel cover, the green LEDs are sealed in a waterproof housing, and then it has this clear impact resistant lens unit. The light output is gonna be 1500 lumens and the circuit board inside is of a military grade construction. So, it's going to be durable, and I think it's going to be able to withstand quite a bit of punishment. So, that's something that you can be confident in about this light. The urethane potting offers better protection than the common epoxy potting in controlling the heat transfer inside of the light.

Now, speaking of heat, this does- this light will have thermal protection safeguards that will protect it against overheating, so you're not gonna have to worry about this light overheating. And this housing here is constructed of a durable die cast aluminum. So, the aluminum is lightweight, it's not going to have any issues with corrosion, but it's also gonna be very durable. And then you see, we do have this included stainless steel cover, and this is 316 stainless steel. So, what that means for you is that it's gonna be more resistant to pitting and corrosion, and it really does provide a nice attractive look to the slide, so that's gonna look really nice on your boat. This is compatible with 12 volt and 24 volt DC systems. As you can see this as a surface mount installation, however, it is important to know that this does not come with it, it does not come with the hardware, so, you would just need to source that locally to install this on your boat. And this will hard-wire to your application, it's a two wire installation, the green wire is gonna be your power and the black wire is gonna be your ground. Now, let me go ahead and give you some dimensions here, looking at the overall length of this light first, where you're gonna be sitting a little over 4 inches, about 4 and 1/8 inches long, and then the overall width of this light and in the, the cover kind of flares out just a little bit in the center, so, trying to take that into consideration, the overall width we're gonna be sitting right at about an inch and a half. And then the overall thickness we are gonna be sitting right at about 5, 8, 7 inch or so, you know, the overall thickness. And then another important measurement here that I wanna try to get for you is gonna be the distance between the mounting holes. And we're gonna be sitting right at about 3 1/4 inches in the distance on those mounting holes. Yeah, 3 1/4 inches. Again, the light output is gonna be 1500 lumens. And the input voltage on this light is gonna be 9 volts to 30 volts. And the power draw is gonna be 0.6 to 0.73 amps. And the included wire length here is gonna be 36 inches long. This light does have a limited lifetime warranty, and again, this is a green led underwater light. If you're looking for other colors, we do have white and blue available in this format.
