Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the surface mount Water Dragon underwater green LED light. Now this is an LED underwater light that provides a nice, bright, green light for your boat. Now, underwater lights'll offer additional lighting for safety, they provide a unique look to your boat, and they'll even improve visibility to help with navigating backwards or seeing behind the boat. And they will also attract fish flying late at night. This one has a nice sealed, waterproof black housing with an impact resistant lens unit.

And they do use a military grade construction of the circuit board that uses urethane potting, which offers better protection than the common epoxy potting. And on this one, they do use premium LEDs, which are energy efficient, long lasting, and vibration resistant. They're rated for up to a hundred thousand hours of operation. This one has a clear lens over three green LEDs. Now at the end of this video, I am gonna hook this up to some 12 volt power to show you the color of the light and how bright it is.

This is compatible with 12 volt DC systems. We mentioned it is a surface mount installation. Now the hardware to install it is not included, you would have to supply that. This does hardwire to your application. It's a two-wire design, power wire and a ground wire, and it gives you a wire length of about 36 inches.

Few specs on this light, the input voltage 9 volts to 14 volts, power draws 0.27 to 0.33 amps. Give you a few dimensions and then we'll hook it up to some power. Overall length from one end to the other is right at 4 1/8 inches long, width of it is 1 7/16 inches wide. And the depth or thickness is right about 5/8 of an inch. Now the distance between the mounting holes, one on each side here, center to center, gonna be right at 3 1/4 inches.

So what we're gonna do now, go ahead and hook our light up to some 12 volt power. And once we get the light hooked up, I'll go ahead and turn on that power. You can see with the light on, the three green LEDs. Go ahead and turn off the overhead light and you can see how bright those LEDs are. Lights up a very large area. What I am gonna do is go to long shot and show you how much area it actually does light up. We'll go ahead and turn back on overhead lights. We'll go ahead and turn off our power. But that should do it for the review on the surface mount Water Dragon underwater green LED light..
