Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this E V A helm pad. This is a 36 inch long by 15 inch wide helm pad that is constructed of three quarter inch thick closed-cell E V A foam. So it's gonna help prevent fatigue when you are are piloting your boat for long periods. This does have a UV-resistant material that's gonna help it stay cool in direct sunlight and heat so you don't have to worry about burning your feet while you're enjoying the outdoors.
It does provide great traction, especially when it's wet so it is gonna help prevent you from slipping if your feet are wet and it is also going to resist mold and mildew so it will hold up really well in those wet environments. It also has a gray brushed color so it is going to look really nice for you as well. On the backside here we do have a simple peel-and-stick 3M adhesive so we just peel off that backing and that is going to adhere to most clean and dry hard surfaces to give you a nice stable standing pad there as you are at the helm of your boat. This is a cool pad. I had a nearby company waterjet the access hole in the center. But then I had to make a jig to eliminate the excess thickness in that circular area. So by prying a screwdriver under that section, access to the fuel tank can be obtained under the cover the pad is adhered to. But now it's dirty from not being cleaned recently
