Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Taylor Made Bimini top horizontal deck hinge. This deck hinge is designed to mount horizontally on the gunwale of your boat, to connect to your Bimini top support poles. It is made out of stainless steel, so it's going to be very corrosion resistant and as you can see it does have that 60 degree angle so that our Bimini poles are going to stick out rather than being straight up and down. Our hinge is right about two and three sixteenths of an inch or just under two and a quarter inch long by about one inch wide and about an inch and a half tall.Now the way this works, you'll secure your hinge to your gunwales with screws. The screws are not provided in this kit.
You will take out the provided bolts and line up the holes on your external eye end for your Bimini top support poles, re-insert your bolt and you'll be able to open and close your Bimini top, have a solid support with the deck hinge.
