We have a lot of replacement parts for our Yakima RoadShower. The cap is gonna be one of them. This tends to go missing sometimes. We we're looking at some of the reviews. If it does go missing, or if it starts to malfunction maybe the threads are a little cross threaded. We got you covered with the replacement.
It's gonna be the same exact thing as the one that comes with your RoadShower originally. And the cool thing about it is you have a little bit of grips on the side. So it's gonna be a little bit easier to grip than if it we're to be smooth. And then all you need, if you needed to tighten it down with a tool is 11/16th inch socket, fits right in there and you're good to go. So there is another replacement cap, but it's not round.
It's actually a hexagonal shape and it comes with a little tool. So if you really wanted to make it a little bit easier on yourself, and if you already had to replace this maybe take a look at that one. It'll be a little bit easier to get it nice and tight if you don't have that grip strength that you need to tighten this down. So check it out. All you gotta do is put it in and it'll thread nice and easy.
If it's not threading in that easy for you, you may want to clean out the threads a little bit and try again, 'cause it should thread in nice and easy, just like that. And I pressurized this thing to 65 PSI, which is what this thing's rated for the little valve right here. And I got it tight enough with my hands. So you might not need to grab the other replacement cap. If you have a RoadShower and you need replacement parts etrailer's got you covered.

Fits the Roadshower and seals like the origional.
prone to leaking after use,,, threads get stripped or something,, having to resort to pipe thread
Very poor design. After one year started leaking around cap threads.
Ordered this replacement cap and same issue.
Not enough of a lip on cap to add a rubber washer. I use Teflon tape to create a seal, but need to replace each time I refill tank.
Heard from others with same problem.
Yakima needs to go back to drawing board and redesign cap.
Fits my RoadShower 4 perfectly! I managed to lose my original part on my last camping trip!
It’s nice having a high quality replacement, it you could make some sort of leash for it that would be even cooler. Then I drive away I don’t loos it lol
