Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this Yakima Replacement Locking Base. This is gonna replace one locking base assembly for your Yakima Overhaul HD or Outpost HD truck bed ladder rack. This will fit all Yakima Overhaul HD or Outpost HD truck ladder racks. This will install on the driver's side front or rear bed rail. You can see this is going to include the locking base assembly.
The lock housing and the SKS Lock Core are sold separately. But this is going to be a direct replacement from Yakima so you can trust it is gonna fit right in place with that original, so that you can use your ladder rack properly again. It work as advertised. Needed these bases to convert my Yakima Overhaul system from a 2011 Tundra with a RETRAX tonneau cover to a 2024 Tundra with the Toyota sliding anchor points. It worked very well. A shout out to Sheila at etrailer for nailing down the correct additional hardware kit.

The Yakima OverHaul HD Adjustable Truck Bed Ladder Rack Uprights # Y01151 comes with (2) Locking Bases # Y36AV and (2) Non-Locking Bases # Y56AV. We do have the Replacement Lock Post Hardware # Y29AV available for the locking bases, which I verified through the manufacturer can be used on the non-locking side as well. The towers lock into bases and these bases are what the locks attach to. The intention is that you would use one lock base on each set of towers to secure both to the truck bed.
