Video Transcript for Review of Wheel Masters Tire Repair Tools - Angled Valve Stem Extenders - WM8029135

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the Wheel Masters Tire Pressure Valve Extenders with the 135 degree bend for your rear wheels, has a quantity of two extenders. Now, these are angled valve extenders, so it would make it very easy to access the valve stems on your rear tires that have the dual wheels. These are a nice sturdy nickel-plated brass stem, and you can see they are bent at 135 degree angle, and they'll screw onto your existing valve stem. Basically, this 135 degree bend will place your valve stem in a much easier to reach spot. Lots of times on your dual wheels, your valve stem will be pointing towards the inside of the vehicle, so with these screwed on, it'll bring it back out towards you, so it makes it easy to access.

These will work on both steel and aluminum wheels, they are a corrosion resistant nickel-plated brass construction, makes them long lasting. You can see they do come with a metal valve cap, and then right here is a threaded head on the extender, this will screw onto your existing valve stem. So what you'll do is take your valve cap off your valve stem that's on your wheel, put this on there, screw this in the plate, tighten it down, make sure it doesn't leak, and then what you'll do is it'll bring it back towards you, and then you'll just remove this valve cap to be able to put air, check your air pressure, or put more air into it, makes it a much easier to reach spot. Now, these parts are made in the USA. Now, these extenders are also available on other angles, they come in a 45 degree, a 90 degree, and 180 degree, those we do sell separately on our website.

But should do it for the review on the Wheel Masters Tire Pressure Valve Extenders with the 135 degree bend for your rear wheels..

The Reese goose hitch requires you to fill the bladder. The connection which come with the hitch is nearly impossible to access. This elbow made all the difference.

by:

Good product overall. Having a hex nut to tighten the extension to the existing valve stem ensures a tight seal. Having a rubber stabilizer included would be preferred. I added a rubber stabilizer to keep the extender from moving.

by:

Made life easier accessing air value. Just screw on valve extender and it worked filling and releasing air.

by:

Etrailer was great, every time I have ordered from them they were great. However the post office on this last order was horrendous. Almost 3 weeks is nuts.

by:

Wheel Masters make quality tire valve extenders. These ones are steel, not brass, and extend further from the valve stem before bending. They also they have a hex nut so you can use a small wrench to tighten them. The others have a knurled nut, which is impossible to adequately tighten with your fingers, so you are forced to use a pair of pliers, which is awkward at best. No leaks so far.

by:

The 135 degree extenders are perfect when you don't want to use hoses. Fir just around the wheel liner and keep it rigid.

by:

Good Purchase. Arrived as advertised and 2 days ahead of schedule

by:

Valve extenders worked as advertised. Easy to add air as needed without removing hubcap. Qualit product! Thanks.

by:

These are very handy to fill and keep filled the tire on a reversed (outer) wheel on a dual wheel setup. However, you have to be VERY careful to get the extender TIGHT on the existing valve stem or your tire will leak air constantly.

by:

Despite the Q&A section indicating this product will fit on Aluminum ALCOA rims on a Sprinter 3500, they do NOT. The product seems robust but does not work for this application. If you have a sprinter van with dallies, this will not work on the outer rear tire that has the inward-pointing valve stem.

I have contacted the manufacturer regarding this issue and they replied that they have not had anything brought to their attention that this has happened before.

by:

Easy ordering & payment. Good prices & reasonable shipping fees.

by:

I needed tire pressure valve extenders for the dual wheels on my motorhome--there was no way for me to get my hands inside the wheels to remove the valve cap and add air. I've used braided air hoses in the past but they don't seem to hold up long. These extenders are high quality, fit perfectly and with a drop of loctite won't come loose. There are other on-line vendors, but I use Etrailer because of fast shipping and quality products.

by:

Does the trick of getting the valves where u can get to them on dual tires. Very fast delivery from vendor.

by:

The product was exactly what we needed. Great service and delivery time was as stated.

by:

I had no idea that these type of extenders were even made, they worked perfectly and up to date I have not had any trouble with these. I installed them on a class A RV on the rear axle.
Super Simple to check and add air if needed!

by:

Solved my problem of not being able to check the air pressure of the outer rear wheels of my Class A motor home. Had to do a little finegiling to get the wheel covers back on but figured it out. The angle could be just a little steeper and all would be great.

by:

just perfect, makes checking tire pressure very easy.

item worked great no problems, easy to air up dual tires.

by:

Didn't work for me. Angle need slightly more bend. Ended up with input behind the wheel cover. No way to attach air compressor to it. Returned.

by:

Excellent air flow and work great with my tire pressure monitor system too.

by:

The 135 degree valve extenders would have been given 5 stars except for having a hex but they are easily overtightened using a wrench. Over tightening squeezes the gasket preventing air passage and potential damage and air leakage. There are no tightening instructions on the packaging. This is my second set to overcome the tightening issue.

by:

They work great, I just wish they were a little longer.

by:

The air extenders are made in the USA fair price and fast shipping

by:

Works well on my 2019 Jaco Garyhawk with Ford 450E Chassis. I removed the hub caps which made installation easy. Make sure they are tight or they will spin making it difficult to get back into position.

by:

Exactly what I expected. The valve extenders were out-of-stock, I was notified by telephone and asked if the delay was acceptable. Nice touch. I will buy from this retailer again.

by:

These valve extenders are robust and exactly what we were looking for. We found several similar items on line but they were imported and inferior. etrailer has come through again!

  • Recommended Valve Extenders for a 2016 Ford F-450 Cab & Chassis
Thank you for the picture that really does help figure out what'll be best for you. It appears for your right/left rear outside tires, you could benefit from an extender that has a bend in it, like the Wheel Masters Tire Pressure Valve Extenders - 135-Degree Bend # WM8029135. For your inside tires, I'd recommend going with a simple straight extension like the Wheel Masters Tire Pressure Valve Extenders - Straight # WM80293 which measures 3" long. We also have those straight extenders...

The included mounted bracket simply gets clamped to the sides of the wheels so there isn't any drilling required for installation. You would need to pick up a 130 degree valve extender. The 130 degree isn't a popular degree, the closest we have is the Wheel Masters Tire Pressure Valve Extenders - 135-Degree Bend # WM8029135 which provides you with 135 degrees.

This will generally depend on the wheel on your vehicle and we don't have specific fits for individual vehicles in this case. I personally like the Wheel Masters Tire Pressure Valve Extenders - 135-Degree Bend - Steel Rear Wheels - Qty 2 # WM8029135 since they'll get the valves a little further away from the wheels in most cases compared to the 45 degree # WM8029. Wheel Masters Tire Pressure Valve Extenders # WM8029135 do just thread onto the existing valve stems on the wheels. You will not have to use any thread tape for the installation. There really aren't any tricks to installing them. The biggest challenge is reaching the stock valve stems on some vehicles. But once you overcome that hurdle you will be good to go.
