Ellen: Hey everyone, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. Today we're taking a quick look at the replacement rear header seal. This is going to be for your Truxedo TruXport Tonneau cover and this is sold by the foot, so I just have a longer length of this, but for every quantity that you pick up, it's just going to be 12 inches long. So if you select two quantity, you're going to get 24 inches of material, three quantity, you'll get 36 inches of material and so on. So keep that in mind that it is sold by the foot, so how ever many quantity that you select, that's going to be how long the material is.Now this is just there to provide that water tight seal for the header or the part that of your Tonneau cover that goes those up towards the bulkhead and it's going to lay against your truck bed and provide that watertight seal there. It's kind of a T shaped material if you can kind of see that there does have some flex to it.
As far as the width, it's about an inch. That little T is just about, about quarter of an inch thick. And then the material at the bottom, the narrow part is just a 16th of an inch thick.So for longer sections you just have to select that quantity. It is made in the USA and that's pretty much all there is to it. Item was 4 ft feet to short. It needs to be 60 inches long not 12 inches. The part is of no value to me. It was listed as a complete replacement part

Do you have a TruXedo brand tonneau cover or a different brand? Are you trying to replace the rear header seal?

I believe its a gator branded tonneau cover, low profile half inch above bed rail, roll up. I have replaced the latch mechanism with truxedo parts. I was originally looking for the tailgate seal. Later i did find the right part from your site, with some trimming it should fit just like the original.

Not as wide as I thought it would be. Doesn't seal as well as the original seal.

I am sorry this happened! It looks like this part is sold by the foot so to get the four foot length you would need to have a quantity of four, if that makes sense.
