Today we're gonna take a look at the replacement lock and keys for the Car Top cargo roof cargo box. Now this part will replace a lost or damaged lock for your Car Top cargo roof cargo boxes. It is designed to fit the model CTC-18S. This part includes one of the number 2874 lock core and that is stamped right on there. And then two of the number 2874 keys, which are stamped on. They're designed to fit into the lock and you can see it allows you to open and close it.
And when you remove it stays locked. But that should do it for the review on the replacement lock and key for the Car Top cargo roof cargo box.

I purchased a car-top carrier and it required new locks. Contacted etrailer and gave them the appropriate information and the two locks showed up in no time at all. They were the exact items i required. Have used the carrier for a trip from Canada to Florida with absolutely no problems and the locks are working great. Thank you very much.

The service from etrailer was fantastic. The staff was friendly, professional and the product received on time. The problem came when I installed the replacement lock on the cargo box I found that the manufacturer had installed the locking arm upside down. Since this is permanently fixed to the lock, it cannot be changed around. When I called etrailer on a Thursday, I spoke with Lori. She was apologetic and sent out a replacement lock immediately. It arrived the following Monday and works perfectly. I am highly recommending this company and will use them again. Thanks for your great service. Side note: They did not require that I send the defective lock back but did as if I would email a photo. I know have two extra keys. Thanks.

The lock is perfect, but the receiver already in place does not line up, so I will have to make modifications. This is not a problem with the lock nor etrailer.com.

- Compatibility of CAM-Locks and Thule BoxesThe CAM-Lock cores like part # CTC-CAMLOCK-18M-2874 are designed for the Trunx Rooftop Cargo Box, part # TRX34FR. As such, I cannot say if they will work with your Thule box or not. Thule has their own line of lock cores for their products. If you let me know which Thule core you have or which cargo box you have, I can help you find the correct replacement core and key.

This features the same design as the original latch lock on the box and its 2874 numbered core will work with your existing keys. Two new keys are also included so you can have some spares. The lock core just by itself on your cargo box cannot be replaced on its on. You will need the above full latch assembly.

Thule used several types of locks over the years and the best option that is still offered is part # SR03807. This may not be identical to the original but it is the best option we have. This kit is shown in the linked video and it consists of a lock mechanism and a key. If you have open holes in the box these can be sealed up with a silicone sealant like # LT37467. This will help protect the contents inside the box.

- Can Camlock 18m-2874 Be Keyed alike to an Existing Lock Keyed to 2808Unfortunately we do not have that lock available keyed in "2808". If you are wanting to have both the back and front keyed alike you could purchase 2 of the Replacement Lock and Key for Car Top Cargo Roof Cargo Box - 2874 # CTC-CAMLOCK-18M-2874. That would give you two locks keyed to "2874".
