Hello everybody, this is Jeff at ettrailer.com. Today we take a look at the Thule hide-away awning adapter for the Mercedes Sprinter, with the OE track. Now this adapter lets you mount your Thule hide-away awning directly to your Mercedes Sprinter using the factory track. Now that awning we do sell separately on our website. It's part number TH620001. Now this adapter is not compatible with other hide-away awnings, just that part number.
As you can see, let me zoom in, and I'll show you, this is the aluminum construction on this adapter. It's very strong, very durable. You can see in that step exactly made to fit on your OE track on the Mercedes Sprinter. Does include the mounting hardware you need. Nice set of instructions that'll describe how it installs.

Mounting hardware included.Directions say to glue down to van with product that is not easy to find. Plus, once glued down, I can no longer use my roof rack for anything else.
Great product. Took Etrailer 2 attempts to get the right one but very happy with the product once I received the correct item
Perfect fit.. Easy installed.. I did not use the permanent adhesive glue but used silicon clear glue instead.. I want to have an option for removable if needed. Looks very solid and secure. Happy with the purchase.

Fabrication was perfection and assembling the entire awning was so easy with this adaptor because it fits perfectly on oem rails. Thank you for such a simple solution.
The Thule awning adapter was installed with the 10 foot Hideaway awning onto a 2008 144 2500 Sprinter. The adapter, extruded aluminum and anodized, was very well made and mated the awning to the vehicle nicely. The only issue that was concerning, per the installation instructions, is that the awning should not extend beyond the adapter more than a certain distance (I forget the amount). With the 10 foot awning, my overhang was quite a bit more. The 8 foot awning would had fit better with the 144 but it's usefulness would had been a lot less. I installed it anyways and so far there has been no issues that I can see. In summary, the product is very good, it just didn't fit my application completely. 4.5/5
