Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the Thule Hideaway Awning Adapter for the Dodge Promaster vans. Now, the Thule Hideaway Awning is a 10 and a half foot long awning that is designed to roll out from the top of your Promaster cargo van to provide shelter from the sun and the rain. Now, that awning we do sell separately on our website, it's part number TH6200001 and basically this kit here, this is the adapter that will let you mount the Thule Hideaway Awning directly to the roof of your Promaster cargo van. Wanted to zoom in here and show you these brackets. You can see these are aluminum brackets that the awning will attach to.
They are a nice aluminum construction. They're very strong, durable, rust resistant, and these brackets would attach to the preset mounting points that are in your roof line. There's no drilling required. Now, it does come with all the mounting hardware you need for installation, comes with a nice set of detailed instructions, it even comes with the self-adhesive foam sealing strips that'll close the gap under the awning to prevent water from leaking in. You can see it comes with two of the seven foot long self adhesive foam seals and then two of the short seals.

Mounting hardware included.Im outfitting a Dodge van and have used trailer several times for different items (most recently a Thule awning). Ordering has always been easy, shipping and delivery quick, and the items always received in good shape. I will keep ordering from them....
well I ordered a 10'Hideway awning, instead I got a 10' thule omnistor 6300 awning, this did not fit my unaka 136"van rack. The adapter unaka brackets did not fit. so I retroed the aluminum brackets to fit, its not a great fit, but it works. I emailed your company to ensure I had the right awning, but the wrong one was sent.
This was not easy to install and adapt for the awning! It required a lot of [online] videos and ingenuity. I wanted to make a video of how to do this for a promaster cargo van, but by the time I got back from Baja, I totally forgot. It was a nightmare, quite frankly, but we got it to work.
It was nice that it fits the van perfectly but it says to tighten to 6nm which I tried to but feared I would break the mount. I think they should have added a spacer to you could truly tighten it down.

This adapter kit [part # TH301649] is meant to fit the OEM preset points on the roof of your ProMaster 2500. It will not fit on your Unaka rails. For your awning situation, I have sent your information over to our customer service department for them to better assist you.
