TST Tire Pressure Monitor Sensors for a Ford F-450 Dually

Question:

FIRST PART- We have flow thru sensors on our camper- but we need to put them on the F450 SD dually. I am pretty sure theres not enough wiggle room for the flow thru, so I need to know if the cap type WITH THE SPECIAL TOOL will go on. Looks like I might need to get my tire shop to remove the first wheels so that I can install them on both inner and outer? I can get my hand into the inner tire, but I dont see the tool working on either! Im sure we are not the first F450 needing sensors. Thank you so much for this advice. SECOND part- think we need to trade out the flow thrus on the camper for the cap type as hubs says the camper valve stems are rubber or part rubber. new camper Thanks. As soon as I know which type will work, Ill be ordering them from you. Many thanks. TST also recommended you! over the years I ordered directly from them- happy they said order from you.

Regardless of whether you go with the cap style or flow through, they use the same monitor so you should be good to continue use with your current monitor. I would recommend sticking with the flow through sensors like the Flow Through Tire Sensors for TST TPMS # TST-507-FT-S2 that you already have if they can fit your dually wheels. Since you already have some, you could remove them and test fit them first.

Pretty much all valve stems have at least some rubber on them, more than likely your camper valve stems are going to work with the flow through sensors. If you wanted to send me some pictures of your stems, I would be happy to take a look at them for you.

If you do not feel that the flow through sensors are going to work, then the Brass Tire Sensors for TST TPMS # TST-507-RV-S4 would be a good route to go. We do have some solid valve extension options that will can be used with tire pressure monitoring systems. They come in different lengths, depending on what length you need, the Wheel Masters Tire Pressure Valve Extenders - 2" Long # WM80292, 3" Long # WM80293, and 4" Long # WM80294.
