Video Transcript for TireMinder TPMS Flow Through Tire Sensors Review

What's up, everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna be checking out this TireMinder tire pressure sensor. So, this is gonna be a replacement for one that broke or got lost, or if you're adding an additional one to your system. Let's check it out. So, this is gonna be a flow through tire pressure sensor. I really like that aspect of it, that you can unthread the cap and fill up the tire with this still on here.

On the other TireMinder versions they don't have that, so you'd have to completely remove the sensor every time you need to put air in the tire, which not that big a deal to unthread it but still, it's easier just to leave it on there and check out your monitor to see how much air is in the tire. So, you're gonna unthread the cap here. You're gonna get a battery with this, it's gonna come in a quantity of two so you get two batteries and two sensors. You're gonna slide that battery in there. That's what activates it.

Thread that back on and now, you can use the app on your phone or the monitor to add the new sensor in, to add it to what tire you want it on. Now, with the two transmitters you're gonna get two locking nuts that thread onto the valve as well. And that's gonna help somebody not just take it off the valve when you're not around. You need a special tool to do it. So, we'll get that threaded on first, then thread on the transmitter, then bring the nut up to the transmitter, and then give it a couple turns with the special tool.

And now, you can't unthread. Now, these flow through tire pressure sensors are gonna work with TM76FR, TM86FR, TM38FR, and TM98FR. Now, with the battery in here, it says it can last from nine to 14 months. You're not gonna worry about it for a while and we also do sell the spare batteries for the sensor, so you can pick those up on our website just in case. Overall, I like how easy it is to add an additional sensor or replace one on your system.

Also, the flow through is really nice so I don't have to unthread this every time. I just remove the cap to add the air and monitor it as I'm doing that. Well, I think that does it. Thanks for hanging out and hope this helps.

I bought 6 tire sensors total, Five worked well but the sixth had a persistent slow leak.I intend to replace all six with regular sensors (not the flow through versions).

Oh no, that is not good at all. I wouldn't necessarily rule out flow through sensors quite yet. It could definitely be a defective sensor, and these do have a three year warranty. Let me get you over to our customer service department for them to look into a warranty for you.

by:

Work as advertised. One year in and my first battery finally died. Swapped the battery and back in business. Monitor my 5th wheel and truck with these.

by:

I bought the system through another vender and purchased these as extra. The sensors themselves are good. I've had issues with the system losing signal primarily from the front wheels. Every trip I've taken, when traveling at highway speeds, the front sensors lose signal. I've moved the amplifier forward and it improved from the initial location but still loses signal.

etrailer sells great products at fantastic prices, and these flow- thru sensors worked nicely with the existing display.

  • Flow Through TPMS Sensors For TireMinder i10 TPMS
Since the TireMinder TPMS kits are not available in an 8-pack, your best option is to use the TireMinder i10 TPMS with 10 Tire Sensors, item # TM56FR and the 2-pack of Flow Through Tire Sensors for TireMinder TPMS, item # TM66FR. This gives you 10 standard sensors and the two flow through sensors you want. This option gives you two extra standard sensors if one happens to get damaged or lost while traveling. • How to Get Tire Minder TPMS w/ Flow Through Tire Sensors For 8 Tires
You can get a Tire Minder TPMS with flow-through sensors for your motorhome, though since these kits do not come with 8 sensors for some reason, what you'll need to do is get a kit with 6 sensors and then add two more. So exactly what you'll need is the following: - TireMinder i10 TPMS - 6 Flow Through Tire Sensors # TM98FR - Flow Through Tire Sensors for TireMinder TPMS - Qty 2 # TM66FR

  • Can The Flow Through Sensors In The TireMinder A1AS TPMS Be Used On A Rubber Valve Stems
The flow through sensors # TM66FR included in the TireMinder A1AS TPMS for RVs and Trailers w Signal Booster # TM86FR can be used on higher quality rubber, steel, chrome, or nickel valve stems that are rated. Lower quality rubber valve stems can bend and flex and with the weight of the sensors on them can eventually wear the rubber enough for a leak or complete failure. This is why TireMinder recommends switch to a sturdy metal valve stem to avoid any issues. If you look at TireMinder's...

  • Information And Specifications On Tire Linc TPMS For RVs And Trailers
My contact at Lippert was able to give me some information regarding the Tire Linc TPMS # LC37VR. The size of the sensor is fairly small, measuring about 3/4" thick and weighing 11 grams each. The battery life will depend on how much the system is used, but generally the batteries last 1-2 years. Set-up time is minimal; the sensors simply screw onto the valve stem and the signal booster will be wired up to 12 volts. The maximum range of communication is 33 feet, however, Lippert recommends...

The weight of the Flow Through Tire Sensors for TireMinder TPMS # TM66FR is 0.7oz each including the CR1632 battery. According to TireMinder, these should not throw off the balance of your tire. That being said, you could always have them checked at a local tire shop for peace of mind once the sensors are installed.

  • Are There Flow Through Tire Sensors for TireMinder TPMS That Work With Brass Valve Stems
The Flow Through Tire Sensors for TireMinder TPMS part # TM66FR should not be used with rubber valve stems which are what most brass valve stems consist of. The flow through sensors should only be used with metal valve stems. If you have rubber and brass valve stems then you'll need to use the Brass Tire Sensors for TireMinder TPMS part # TM-2Brass.

  • TireMinder Signal Booster Location When Using Additional Sensors On a Utility Trailer
You will need to relocate your current booster to the back of your F-350. This will allow for it to have enough range to pick up the additional sensors that you are adding to the utility trailer. Longer trailers will require that the booster be installed on the trailer. The Brass Tire Sensors for TireMinder TPMS # TM-2Brass are the more common sensors that are used with most tire minder systems. We do also have the Flow Through Tire Sensors # TM66FR that can be used. These will make...

  • Do You Offer TPMS Tire Kits With a Total of 12 Sensors?
The Kit # TM56FR with 10 sensors you found is going to be the largest amount of sensors that come with a unit as this is typically the most common setup. You can easily add additional Sensors # TM-2Brass to fit all your tires. I would recommend going with the flow through Kit # TM98FR and 3 sets of their Sensors # TM66FR as then you will not need the wrench included with the sensors to remove them every time you need to add air to your tires.

  • Recommended TPMS For a Triple Axle Trailer and The 6 Tires on Truck
I recommend installing the TireMinder i10 TPMS # TM98FR. This system includes 6 of their flow through sensors so you will need 3 more sets of the Flow Through Tire Sensors # TM66FR for your trailer. I prefer the flow through sensors since the sensors used with TPMS are secured in place with a nut. These flow through sensors make it much easier to add and remove air since you will not have to have a wrench to remove a standard sensor cap. The i10 screen is color and very easy to read. It...
