Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this replacement tailgate cable, for the Stromberg Carlson 4,000 Series Fifth Wheel Louvered Tailgate. This is for a quantity of one cable. Basically, this part will replace the tailgate cable on your Stromberg Carlson 4,000 Series Fifth Wheel Louvered Tailgate. It is designed to fit the tailgate part numbers VGD-02-4000, VGD-10-4000, and the VG-97-4000.
All three of those tailgates we do sell separately on our website. This part will include one cable and one bolt. Basically, if we zoom in here, you can see on this end it has a metal islet, and on the other end is a cable loop. Basically, this cable attaches to the truck bed and in the other end to the tailgate. It helps hold the tailgate in the open position.
Total length on this, if we measure from one end to the other, it's gonna be right at 24 and a half inches long. But that should do it for the review on the replacement tailgate cable for the Stromberg Carlson 4,000 Series Fifth Wheel Louvered Tailgates.

Easy to install. But they were a little longer then I expected so my tailgate hangs lower then I wanted.

Even though I have crashed my truck through the tailgate pulling out from under the fifth wheel without opening the tailgate a couple times, I have put the tailgate back together and it still looks great! I highly recommend this lightweight tailgate!
