Ellen: Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. Today we're taking a quick look at the replacement auger bearing for tailgate salt spreader. This is going to be that important bearing to keep everything moving properly. So, as you can see, it has a nice smooth fluid motion going all the way around. There's going to be two little set screws in there to keep that pin in place inside that bearing so we have everything mounted properly.

This also has a grease Zerk so we can keep everything lubricated and, again, moving nice and smooth. As far as the measurements for this, I'll give you some numbers here to think about. So, the distance between our mounting holes is going to be three inches center to center. The inner diameter here of our bearing is one inch, and that's going to be the inner diameter again. The total height just for reference is about an inch and a quarter, and total width is about three and three-quarter inches.It is made in the USA.

Again, it's going to move nice and easy. That little grease Zerk is going to help us to keep everything lubricated so it stays maintained for a long time. By keeping that lubricated, it's also going to help to reduce rust going down the road. Always important with anything that has to do with salts. These tend to rust out a little bit quicker than normal.
