This is much better than cutting hole in the dash of the Motorhome and installing a light. I had it installed in less than 30 minutes. Invisibrake is the braking system used. The passenger side floorboard kick panel of my 2018 2 door Jeep Wrangler JL had everything right there power came off of Auxiliary switch package I ordered on the Jeep, direct wire to the battery. Ground is right behind the panel and the aftermarket wiring harness (the only one out there for JL I believe at this time) supplied the brake light function. I opted not to cut into the brake away switch wiring as I didn’t want to sacrifice the integrity of the wire itself.

this unit cannot even send a wireless signal 20 feet to the motorhome dash. Doesn't work.

I reached out to Roadmaster about the transmitter. They suggested to reset the transmitter and the Invisibrake main unit. If that does not do the trick, then relocating the 9530 transmitter may be needed. If the transmitter is near other sensors like a key fob, tire pressure, bundle of wires, wifi, and or blue tooth signals then the signal of the transmitter may be interrupted. If you try relocating the transmitter and or the receiver and it does not work, please reach out.

Installed on my toad, behind my 40' Palazzo. It is a good 50' from RV driver's seat (where the receiver is velcroed) to the toad's driver seat (where the transmitter is velcroed), but signal is immediate and steady.

My toad's battery died and the transmitter/receiver became unpaired! I thought it was broken. Called Roadmaster, they had me fixed within 15 minutes. Basically turn off the unit, press the POWER button for ~15 seconds, then pump your brakes twice. Do this for both receiver and transmitter (I took my receiver to my toad to re-pair).

by:

Install was easy. However could not turn transmitter off. Had to call Roadmaster. There tech staff helped me figure it out.

works great!

by:

Works great. Do not use it often but it works as designed when connected before each trip. Comfort in knowing when dinghy brakes are being applied.

by:

This should complete the installation of my Invisabrake

  • Road Master Brake Monitor Alarm Settings
When the Status light is flashing bright red and the Brake light is flashing yellow the towed vehicle’s brakes have been on continuously for 30 seconds (for example, at a long stop light). Pump the motorhome brakes to reset the 30 second timer that is present to give you a warning to help prevent brake failure on the towed. Alternatively, press the “Silence” button once and the timer will now alarm only after 60 seconds of continuous braking. If the “Silence” button is pressed again after...

  • Is Additional Stoplight Switch Required When Installing Hopkins Brake Buddy
The Hopkins Brake Buddy systems like the Stealth part # HM39530 that we carry come with a stoplight switch for the activation of the system. The brakes of the tow vehicle will have to apply for the system to activate and start activating the brakes of the towed vehicle. There would be no need to also install an additional stoplight switch. If you wanted a monitor to allow you to know when the brakes are being applied you'd then want the part # RM-9530 which gives you a monitor you can...

  • How Does Roadmaster Invisibrake Monitor Install
For the Roadmaster InivisiBrake monitor part # RM-9530 you'd wire it to your Invisibrake by running the black wire to ground, the red wire to 12 volt power, the yellow to the breakaway switch, and the blue wire to the brake light switch. I also attached a link to install instructions as well as an install video for you to check out too.

  • Does Roadmaster Universal Brake Monitor # RM-9530 Work without Breakaway Kit Installed
I spoke with my contact at Roadmaster and he informed me that the Roadmaster Universal Brake Monitor # RM-9530 that you referenced will work without a breakaway kit installed. Reason being is that under normal circumstances the breakaway circuit of this does not have any voltage on it and it's only when it sees voltage does it know that a breakaway system has been activated.

  • Does a Monitor Light Come with the Second Vehicle Kit for RoadMaster BrakeMaster and Is It Needed
In regards to a Roadmaster BrakeMaster System, the RoadMaster Second Vehicle Kit with BreakAway for BrakeMaster Systems part # RM-98160 which I think is what you have does not come with any sort of monitor light. However, this can be obtained with the RoadMaster Replacement LED Display Monitor for BrakeMaster Systems part # RM-300065-00. The monitor light is not required for proper functionality of system nor is it required by law to have one but I strongly recommend one as it could potentially...

  • What Does Optional Adapter For Roadmaster Invisibrake RM-8700-9530 Do?
I reached out to Roadmaster and the reason your Older Roadmaster Invisibrake # RM-8700 requires the # RM-8700-9530 is that it was made before the monitor 9530 was made, and the adapter has a built in microchip that regulates the voltage to the # RM-9530 that the newer Invisibrakes do automatically. Without using the adapter the Invisibrake can engage randomly causing quite a safety issue so I recommend using the adapter. If yours is damaged then just use the # RM-8700-9530 as a replacement.
