Can Roadmaster Universal Braking Monitor Mount Under Hood of Vehicle

Can the transmitter be mounted under the hood in the engine compartment, or is it restricted to under the dash only?

Hey John, so there's no reason you couldn't mount the Roadmaster Universal Braking Monitor # RM-9530 under the hood of your vehicle. The signal strength would be perfectly fine there.

Thanks Jameson, I did mount it in the rear drivers-side engine compartment, near the top hood. Just to share a recommendation I received: the case to the transmitter is not sealed and subject to water infiltration. So extra steps should be taken to provide a secondary enclosure or otherwise seal the existing box with silicone or similar. I don't have any guidance on the heat aspect, but I've placed it as far from the engine as possible. We'll see how it goes.
