Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the replacement Road Master sterling tow bar shank assembly. This unit is a complete stinger assembly with the flip lock mechanism that fits your Roadmaster sterling all terrain tow bars. Part numbers RM-575, RM-576, RM-585, and RM-586. We're looking at a really nice durable steel construction. It's a direct replacement from the manufacturer, features a really nice black patter coated finish to resist rust and corrosion. The pin holes on the unit will accept a standard five eighth inch diameter pin, and it does come with a new installation nut.That's going to do it for today's look at the replacement Roadmaster sterling tow bare shank assembly..

Replace the shank on your older Roadmaster Sterling tow bar (models 555 and 556).As always I can count on etrailer for an on time or early delivery. I had drilled my original towbar shank to shorten the overall length as I was also using a drop hitch for my other toads. I ordered this new shank as I'll be using the full length. It fits perfectly, but wish it would have come with a new horizontal bolt as the original has some wear and the original nut had been set so it would not loosten causing some thread damage upon removal.

The parts I ordered were received & installed today. The parts were exactly as stated w/ an exact fit. These parts are for a Sterling tow bar that my wife & I purchased last week & we are both excited to try it out this weekend. The Sterling tow bar is an upgrade from the Falcon 2 tow bar we had been using; there were times when the old tow bar would be in a bind when removing it from the car.
Started with Roadmaster and they said part would not fit and wanted to sell me all new hitch. Called etrailer and they said no problem - shipped the right part and fit perfectly. Saved me a bunch of $$$$.
This is an exact replacement of the stinger on my Sterling Tow Bar.

My old shank was getting sloppy, now it's just like new.. Stripped the bolt trying to get the nut off, should have ordered the bolt too.
