Lay it between the rooftop cargo bag and your bare roof to keep the bag from sliding around as you brake and accelerate.I used this on a bare roof 2016 Honda civic with the Rightline Ace Rooftop Cargo Bag RL100A20. The carrier bag did not budge and it added a nice protective cushion for the roof. It is well made and thicker than I expected. The mat flapped in the wind so I duck taped the front edge and corners to the car and no noise. It's the white between the carrier and the car in the picture.
Worked great. Took it on a trip from Arkansas to Montana and it kept the cargo bag in place. Corners kept flapping but I tucked them under and was fine.
This worked great to keep my rooftop cargo bag in place. I drove over 400 miles at highway speeds, and never had any issues! Great product!
I am so glad I got this non-skid roof protection pad. It worked perfect. The roof top carrier did not move at all.

We still love the product! When we travel with the dogs it makes it much comfortable inside the van. I still would recommend your product!
Katie D was super excellent with customer service. Katie got my order out right away, I received the rooftop cargo bag and protector in record time. I did secure the bag with extra straps because I was traveling from Oklahoma to Florida. I had no problems, I tightened once during my trip just to assure myself; everything arrived safely, the bag was not torn or damaged in any way during my trip.
I would use this site again for travel equipment and recommend the rooftop bag.

I bought this travel bag last year for a 16 day road trip from Kentucky to Utah. The first day of travel was wet and rainy. Water started to leak in where the straps hook inside the door frames. I stopped and tried to adjust the strap placement and it helped a little but the water continued to drop inside the car.
Later in the trip the coating on the bag started to crack and tear. Maybe it was the 80 mph speed or the dust from Moab desert but now our gear was getting wet every time it rained.
When we got home I noticed that the bag scratched the top of the car even after we purchased the additional mat to help prevent this from happening.
I knew this was a starter bag but I thought it would last more than one trip. I wish I had bought something higher in quality and not have wasted my money.
Had no marks left in my roof RL100650 and no slipping of the load. The roofline cargo bag 3Xl Was sourer. It held more tan I could have imagined. It didn't rain during our trip But thee is no way that moisture could have gotten in. I used tie downs with wretch-it tie down. It really kept the load tight. Could not have been happier with the product for the price.
Worked like a charm. I drove in Ford Freestyle from Louisville, KY to Gulf Shores, AL with this pad on the roof and it was under the Rightline Packright Xl Sport 3 Roof Bag which was connected using the provided straps on the side rails only. I had 4 suitcases a large duffel bag and another small bag which filled the roof bag and none of it moved. It rained pretty hard on us at one point and still no issues. It worked exactly as described.
The Non-Skid Protector for the Rooftop Cargo Bag arrived very quickly, with much thanks to you! We will be leaving for out of state and look forward to using it with the cargo bag that we ordered together w/this. This worked very well to save my roof paint on car did it's job and well worth the monies and heartache of scratches and cleaning and buffing paint out... If ur doing roof rack bags without a rack use this so incase of shifts u don't have to worry about nasty scratches..

Shipped promptly. Good followup by etrailer. But the corners of the product (where not held down by the cargo bag) shredded in the wind. I probably wouldn't buy this item again if I could find a better alternative.

The mat worked great. We made a 15 hour road trip and it held the cargo bag in place the entire time. No scratches at all. Great product.

Nice product....did the job properly. One tip is to place carrier bag in front of it a little, so it does'nt flap in the wind.
Started to roll up under the storage bag on the way back while driving on the highway. Had to stop to adjust it a couple times.

Well, it's a rubber mat. It did what a rubber mat is supposed to do! It stayed in place, even in the rain.
I feel like I wasted my money with this it did not stay in place, and ended up blowing off of the car from under the carrier. I was disappointed and could not stop to retrieve it from the middle of the highway.
The product worked as intended. However, don't leave front edge uncovered or it will flap at highway speed.
Definitely fits well under the carrier and gave me greater peace of mind about having that whole big load on top of the car in the rain.
The matt is non-skid, which helps protect my roof and minimize bag movement.
