Enclosed Trailer equipment racks feature a hook design at the top of the rack that allows them to hang from the metal frame runner at the top of the side walls on the trailer for added strength. They are predrilled so that they may be screwed securely to the wall. The unique and durable "Hammered" paint finish will last for many years.

Today on our enclosed trailer we'll be installing the Rackem 5 gallon gas can rack for enclosed trailers, part number RA-1L. Now Rackem also carries a 2 1/2 gallon rack which is part number RA-1S. Now this rack is designed to hang at the top of the metal frame on your enclosed trailer, but on our particular trailer, there's wires that run right there so we're not able to put our rack right up there. Instead we went ahead and used a 2 by 6 and we went ahead and cut an angle on the back side of it to match the top angle of the hook of the rack. Now we've gone ahead and mounted our 2 by 6 to the wall of the trailer and we've also gone ahead and put a couple of pieces of 2 by 6 on the wall that will line up with the bottom screw holes. That way the rack sits level on the wall. Now that we have our 2 by 6 base in place, we'll go ahead and set the rack up on the top. We'll make sure it's level, and then we'll go ahead and put some screws in it to hold it in place.
There's a total of four screws on the up and down bracket as well as two screws that go in on either side. Now that we have all the screws in place, we'll go ahead and put our 5 gallon gas can in and show you how it looks. With that that's all there is to installing a Rackem 5 gallon gas can rack for enclosed trailers, part number RA-1L. .

The shipping on this thing was crazy fast. The rack looks very well made. To make installation easier make sure you have one of those smaller sized drivers.

This thing is useless for me. It is made for a very specific size/dimension 5 gallon gas can. If you have a gerri can style can(14" x 7" bottom dimension) it will not work. I wish this was spelled out in the product descrition.
