Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the Hughes Autoformers Mounting Bracket for the Voltage Boosters. Now, these brackets will let you securely mount your Hughes Voltage Booster to your wall or the floor of your RV. It is designed to work with either the 30 amp, which is part number HU24FR or the 50 amp booster part number HU57FR. Both of those boosters we do sell separately on our website. Basically this'll prevent the unit from moving or tipping over during travel.
It will help keep the voltage booster safe from viewer theft when it's mounted inside. Also helps protect it from the elements. Now these brackets are a nice heavy-duty metal construction, and they do have a foam lining on them to protect the voltage booster when it's installed. If you notice on the front here, it has these nice buckles that make it very simple to open and close the mount, or to move the booster itself. Now, I'm going to demonstrate this on a 30 amp booster.
Happened to pull one here, this is what the 30 amp booster would look like. I say, a very square, heavy box, is what you'll want to do. And, I'm gonna put the cord down here. Oh, what you'll see and what we'll do, is go ahead and loosen that, and remove this one. And then again, we'll flip that down.
That'll let you remove that bracket. So when this is installed, you'll install it to the sides of the booster you're using. So basically this one will drop right in there. And just like that, you'll see the sole mounted to the wall or even to the floor if you prefer. It comes with the brackets here and the mounting hardware.
And then what you'll do, is just take this bracket. And again, these are also foam lined to protect it. And just slide that in, hook it to the back bracket. That seems better. Go ahead and slide it in there. Now once you've got that hook, then you'll take the hook right down here, and put it down here. And then you'll just raise that up, and you can see that all secured on that side. And then you'll do the same over here. Then hook the bracket to the mounting bracket, just like that. Pull it down over there. Get the hook to line up and then pull up on that buckle. And you can see just like that, It'll hold it into place. Turn it a little bit just so you can see it. And what they mentioned on these buckles, what's nice is if you need to remove that, you can just flip it down and you can move it right out. Very simple to do. To install these brackets, a very easy installation comes with all the included hardware you need. So it is perfect for securing your voltage booster wherever you need it. And then again just to remove it, if you just flip down on that, it'll release the- and you can remove your bracket. Take that one out. Flip this buckle down, it'll unhook it. Raise up on it, and you can remove this mounting bracket. Just like that. And then you can lift your voltage booster right out. Simple as that. And again, it'll work with either this one; the 30 amp one or the 50 amp size. Either one will work. Also i got the bracket mounted. My trailer doesn't move but i like how this worked out and keeps the booster off the ground and covered to protect from the elements. I've attached a few pics. I added a piece of plexiglass to guard from wind blowing rain. Or water splashes from puddle that forms under a gutter spout.
Great mounting bracket for your Hughes Autoformer. Manufacturer packaging is not very good but the bracket works great for mounting in your electrical bin.
The bracketwas easy to install and does what it was designed to do. I holds the Autoformer securely.
An RVers must have! Protect your investment. Don’t let’s low or high volts from most RV parks destroy your TVs electrical components. For extra safety buy the Watch Dog surge protector and Autoformer mount and hardwire the hughes products. Two reasons, preventing theft and you don’t have to lug the units in and out every time you plug or unplug your RV.
As much as I read about irregular voltages, I felt this was an absolutely necessary item to have...but it sure is heavy.

The mounting bracket is solid and has provided a solid mount for the Hughes Autoformer which is fairly heavy. Im glad I purchased the mounting bracket because it keeps the unit up off the floor and permanently mounted in the electrical compartment.
