Today we're going to be taking a look at a Fulton square drop leg. Now, this drop leg is designed to be paired with the weld-on outer tube which would then create a stabilizer jack for your trailer or for your application. Your outer tube is sold separately. It is available here at etrailer.com just like this one right here, part number SJ10300. This would weld on to your trailer frame. You can see how that fits in there.
You've got all the adjustment holes. The bottom hole down here is for the fully retracted position and then you've got all your adjustment holes located on the drop leg itself. A really nice design. Again, you can find this right here at etrailer.com. When this drop leg is paired with this unit right here it's going to have a capacity of 3,000 pounds. Now, on the drop leg, it's a steel construction.
It's going to have a really nice, well done zinc plating. It's going to offer corrosion resistance to the unit. The overall length from the bottom of the foot plate to the very top of the tube measured around 29 inches. The tube itself is a square design and it measures 1-3/4 of an inch by 1-3/4 of an inch. The foot plate measures about 7-1/2 inches by 3-7/8 of an inch.
The foot plate's really nice. It's welded on there. That's going to really help spread out the applied weight especially on softer surfaces. It's going to help prevent sinking. A couple holes in it so if it traps some dirt and moisture, that does have a way to escape off of the foot plate. The distance that we have between this hole right here which is going to be the highest setting and then your lowest setting is right here.
The distance between those two holes on center measured 16 inches. Center-on-center between each hole is 2 inches. That's our incremental height adjustment. The distance between this hole and this hole is 7-1/4. The diameter of each hole is .52 inches which is just slightly larger than 1/2 inch. From the center of the lowest adjustment hole to the bottom of the foot plate is 9 inches. From the center of the highest adjustment hole to the bottom of the foot plate is 25 inches and then again, you've got the incremental height adjustment of 2 inches. From the center of this hole, which again is the fully retracted or stowed position. If you're in travel you want to put it in this position. From the center of this hole to the bottom of the foot plate is about 1-3/4 inches. That's going to do it for today's look at the Fulton square drop leg.

Of course these were taken on Valentine's day at the range during a live fire demonstration. The gun bolted down in the trailer is an M3AC .50BMG Aircraft gun that had once been used as a "Belly Gun" in a WWII bomber, the trailer is an M1102 Hum Vee trailer that I modified as a platform to permit the mounting of several different guns. The Drop Down Fulton Jacks imparted enough stabilization to the trailer to not only permit the weapons system to operate safely but also, to permit a Singing Quartet to deliver a Singing Valentine and flowers to our ladies on Valentine's day from inside the trailer. It never wobbled or shook at all. The parts from Etrailer.com proved to be very stout and durable. Should you decide to use any of these please digitally obscure the license plates. Thank you for ensuring prompt delivery of quality parts so that I could facilitate the modifications in time for this event. Respectfully, Frank
