Stabilizer Jacks Needed for a Military M101 A2 3/4 Ton Cargo Trailer

Question:

I have a former military M101 A2 trailer and the frame height is approx 25. I want to get a stabilizer jack or 2 for the back of the trailer. Will the TJ01RT extend long enough to work.? What is the max extended length of the TJ01RT? If it is not at least 25inch do you have another item similar that is longer?

Expert Reply:

When fully extended the Domar Trailer Jack, # TJ01RT, measures 18 inches from top of bracket to bottom of foot. We do not have a jack of similar construction that is longer but there are options.

We carry 30 inch tall scissor style stabilizer jacks, # JSC-30 (single) and # JSC-30-IND (pair), that would most likely be a better fit with the 25 inch frame height on your Military M101 A2 trailer. This would most likely be the best option for you.

We also have the stabilizer leg, # FSJ20324, that can be used with a Square Mounting Channel, # FSJ10300, and a lynch pin, # F0938005-40, if welding the mounting channel onto the side of the frame is a possibility, and you have clearance above the frame to slide the leg up and secure it so that it is high enough.

I recommend carrying a couple of blocks to lie on the ground when lowering the jacks or drop leg stabilizers, to keep them from sinking into the ground.
