Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this quick release rooftop tent mounting kit for your Front Runner platform rack. Now, these six quick release rooftop tent brackets are gonna let you easily mount and remove a tent on your Front Runner Slimline II or Slimsport Platform Rack. Now, this is going to be a relatively easy installation with the included hardware that you see here. And the base brackets with the latches, so let me go ahead and show you that, this base bracket with the latches are going to install on the top channels in your Front Runner platform rack.
And then the catches and bobbing bolts are going to secure to your rooftop tent's base channels. So once you have these two pieces installed, you're then going to align the bobbing bolts on your tent to the base brackets on the platform and then you'll just slide it into place just like that. And then you're going to close the latches to secure this. So it's gonna be very easy to use. And just to show you how this latch works, to then unlatch it, you're just going to slide this catch up and then flip that up and then that's going to allow you to release that.
So it's going to be very easy to use. It's going to be very secure once you have it latched. Then if you notice here, we do have a spot here for a small accessory lock to help deter theft. And we do have several options for you here at etrailer.com if you are in need of an accessory lock. Now, these compact brackets can then be left on your rack and tent base when they're not in use.
And the black powder coated coated steel brackets and the stainless steel latches are going to do a great job of resisting corrosion. And when you have these brackets assembled, and as you can see, I do have them loosely put together for demonstration purposes. Just to give you some overall measurements, the overall length, the overall length at the longest points, we're sitting at about 5-3/16 inches long. And then the overall width at the widest points, we're sitting about 5-5/8 inches wide. And then the overall height, we're sitting at about 2-3/8 inches tall.
Now, just some additional notes for you. You wanna be sure to review your installation guide to verify if your tent is compatible. Also, hard shell tents like the James Baroud and the iKamper and the Autohome do require additional support channel sets. And, of course, those are sold separately. And some tents may need additional nut plates which are not included with this kit. And then finally, large and heavy tents may require additional brackets for support. Instructions are included to walk you through the installation process. And that's going to wrap up our brief look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
