Today I'm going to take a quick look at the replacement tailgate hinge for Xtang trifecta and emax tonneau covers.This is going to be a direct replacement from Xtang for that hinge point between the last two folds in your tonneau cover. This si going to be a really easy way to repair a broken hinge on your tonneau cover so you don't have to replace the entire unit, you can just replace the hinge instead.So you can see, we're going to have that independent hinge, it's going to work as a double hinge between our two panels. There'll also be a foam pad there to prove hat good cushion against our truck bed so we don't have to worry about any damage there.It's just going to slide into those two ends on our panels and replaces that part for us.Again, this is going to work for the Xtang trifecta or emax tonneau covers.As far as the dimensions, it's going to be about six and a half inches from end to end there. At it's widest point, it's going to be be about two and a half inches. The opening there is going to go down to about an inch and then this smallest portion is going to be just about three eights of an inch.It'll stand about an inch and a quarter tall, although, again, we do have that squish with our foam block.Now, if you need any other replacement parts, we have a lot of options hereat etrailer.com including the clamps for your Xtang trifecta and solid fold tonneau covers, along with many other replacement parts.And that's going to do it for our look at the replacement tailgate hinge for the Xtang trifecta and emax tonneau covers.

I can’t believe how quickly this part got to me. ALSO when I ordered the part the first time I installed the hinge and when I went to close the lid the part broke. I emailed etrailer and they sent me a replacement at no charge and no questions asked. The replacement part came within a week and when I installed the hinge it works perfectly. By the way when I installed the second hinge I’m pretty sure I installed the first replacement incorrectly which I think caused the first replacement to fail. Etrailer did the right thing and made it all right!

I ordered the part on Sunday , it arrived on Saturday and I installed it on Sunday.
It took longer to remove it from the package open the tailgate and fold the cover back then the actual install itself. It was a perfect fit..

The part was an exact fit for my Trifecta cover on my pick up. It only took two minuets to change. I found the site easy to surf for parts and the prices are great. I couldn't get the part where I bought the cover and they couldn't tell me where to get it. I did a search on the internet and came up with etrailer.com. The hinge is made of plastic. Hinges should made of a metal like aluminium to withstand auto uses and not rust. Given time this $15.00 part will break as the first.

Absolutely thrilled with the order process and shipping. Order was filled and shipped the same day it was ordered. The only reason I didn't mark a full five stars on this one is probably my own fault but one of the hinges I ordered broke before I even got it all the way mounted. The tab that holds the screw that locks the hinge to the frame broke. The nature of the break was surprising as the force that snapped was in the direction where the part should have been strongest. Overall I am very satisfied with the company and have no issues with the cover itself.

My wifes's truck has a velcro rollup cover. The extang is very hard to unlatch and when folded does not allow full use of the box.
The pull latch should have a double action design. Like a tool box latch.

I am glad I ordered this part from etrailer. I was not sure this part would fit my tonneau cover since it was marketed by another brand name. The customer rep from etrailer gave me the number of the manufacturer of the hinge so that I could reach them to make sure this was the right part. In addition the rep gave me her personal extension should I have any further questions or needed additional help. The price was extremely competitive and the part come in three days early. Very pleasant company to deal with and great proactive customer service.

There could be fatigue to the other components so to ensure maximum longevity I do recommend the whole hinge assembly. It is possible that this is happening due to the 2 sides of the cover's rails being out of alignment. It would be a good idea to check to make sure the rails are aligned properly so as to minimize stress on the hinges and other components.

UPDATE AFTER ONE YEAR - The replacement hinge I ordered is still working great, no problems encountered with it. I also now know who to order from in the future should the need arise. Etrailer is a excellent company to do business with!
