Speaker 1: Today we're going to take a look at the Dexter 12 inch E-coat right-hand side never-lube hub and rotor assembly, with the six on 5-1/2 inch bolt pattern for 6,000 pound axles. Now this trailer brake assembly will make it easy to upgrade from drum brakes to disc brakes for better performance. This brakes give you more consistent stopping, even at highway speeds. And a dramatically shorter stopping distances. And they're easier and less expensive to maintain. All these parts in this kit have an E-coat finish to them, which provides corrosion resistance for fresh water and limited salt water use. The kit will include one full right-hand, passenger side brake assembly.
It includes the E-coated rotor right here; the E-coated hub, with the bolts pressed in. And this uses the never-lube baring cartridge pressed in with the grease cap included. Now, the caliper is an E-coated ductile iron caliper, with the included brake lines. The caliper mounting bracket is also E-coated. Comes with the bolts and hardware to install it. And even a little tube of thread sealant to put on the bolts when you install it.
And it comes, also, with the two semi-metallic brake pads. Now, the rotor's a vented rotor, helps to regulate temperature, prevent overheating. The venting will dissipate heat quicker. The caliper that's used is a self-adjusting caliper, ensures maximum surface contact for smooth, equal braking. The semi-metallic brake pads will help resist heat, provide excellent grip. And the mounting bracket for the caliper is a ductile iron mounting bracket provides strength and durability. The hub that's included will replace your existing hub.
And as we mentioned, it has the never-lube bearing in it, which comes pre-lubricated and pressed into the hub from the factory. Sealed bearings will include the seals in the inner and outer races, so there's no need to replace the seal when checking your brakes, or no need to lubricate the bearings. This assembly will require hydraulic brake actuator and brake lines. We do sell separately on our website. They're required for the brakes to be activated. And the actuator and the lines will have to, requires a psi rating of at least 1,600 psi.
These parts are made in the USA. Again, it's designed to fit 6,000 axles with Dexter never-lube spindles. The wheel size that'll work on this is 15 inch, 16 inch, and 16-1/2 inch wheels.Again, the configuration is a right-hand passenger side assembly. The bolt pattern on this hub is six on 5-1/2 inch bolt pattern. Does use a wheel lug size of 1/2 inch by 20. And the diameter on the rotor is 12 inches. The brake flange configuration, in other words, this caliper mounting bracket attaches to the brake mounting flange, it's a five bolt flange configuration. And then the last thing is, the hub bearing cartridges that is in this never-lube hub, is a size 42 millimeter. But that should do it for the review on the Dexter 12 inch E-coat right-hand side, never-lube hub and rotor assembly, with the six on 5-1/2 inch bolt patter for 6,000 pound axles.
