Today we're going to take a look at the replacement e-coat caliper for left hand or right hand Dexter disc brakes on an 8,000 pound axle. Now this replacement caliper will fit 8,000 pound Dexter disc brake assemblies. This does use opposing piston technology to ensure even pressure on both sides of the rotor. Enhances your braking performance, minimizes pad wear. Piston diameter on these is one and seven eighths inches. It has a self-adjusting design so it does allow the caliper to shift so that it stays centered on the rotor.
It's made of a ductile iron construction, helps prevent flexing to keep your breaking torque consistent. Does use an e-coat finish on it to help resist corrosion. And as I mentioned, it is a universal configuration, so these can be used on either left our right hand sides of the trailer.Now it does include all the parts shown here on the table. The two calipers with the mounting bolts and hardware, the anti-rattle spring, the two brake lines, the bleeder screw, the three sixteenths inch inverted adapter, two clamp wood screw, and a nice set of instructions on how to install all this. These parts are made in the USA.
