Hey everybody, welcome to etrailer.com I'm Bobby. And today we're taking a look at the replacement mounting bracket for the Curt Discovery Trailer Brake Controller. Now, this can be a great little way of, of course, replacing that mounting bracket that you may have broken, or bent, or misplaced. Or, of course, it can be a nice little solution to give ourselves a secondary mounting position. So maybe we have another vehicle in the family, one we're gonna do our towing with, we can go ahead and instead of having to install this multiple times, we can just get two, install them in each place. And therefore, we can just take our brake controller out of one and install it on the other.

And we can really reduce all the tools needed, and that installation time. Taking a closer look here at the product. You guys can see simple little bracket here for ourselves, nothing too crazy going on. You are gonna have this front face here. That's actually gonna allow us to mount this inside our vehicle.

And, of course, you have the two hinges here on the side, to allow our brake controller to be installed on the bracket itself. Now it is gonna come with four bolts here, or two screws and two bolts, I should say. Of course, those two screws are gonna be great for actually getting this mounted to your vehicle, and those bolts to secure our brake controller to the side of our mounting channel here. To go ahead and break down some of our dimensions here, our overall height is going to be putting us right at an inch and a half there for ourselves. Now our length on the inside here, from our inside to our inside, is going to be putting us right at three and one quarter inches.

Now that outside length though, the overall length is gonna be three inches and a half. I should say there for you guys. So about a quarter difference there between that inside. So very important, of course, it will fit that brake controller. And that is what it's designed to do.

Now, the depth itself here today guys, only gonna be right at an inch for ourselves, as you guys can see. So definitely not going to be taken up too much room on the inside of that vehicle. Again, that kinda lets you mount this exactly where you want. And it's going to do a great job of holding onto that brake controller.
