Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the solar port inlet for the Furrion solar panel battery chargers. The solar port inlet mounts on your RV and lets you plug in your solar panel power cord so that you can charge your RV's 12 volt battery. This is designed to work with the Furrion portable solar panel charger. It offers a very sleek modern look. It's made from marine grade polyester construction that's UV resistant. It's very strong and durable, it's designed to hold up well for a long time, even to the most extreme temperatures and weather conditions.When it's in the fully closed position, so right now it's in the fully open position and it does stay open so that you can always access the connection point.
There's a seal or a gasket right here on the bottom of the lid, creates a nice weather tight seal, and it snaps shut so it offers secure water tight protection to protect the inlet when it's not in use. Now, this is available in gray, white, and black. All those options are available at Etrailer.com. It also comes with the gasket here on the backside that goes over and creates a nice seal as well as a cushion at the installation surface.A few measurements I want to mention for you real quick. Going edge to edge this direction measures about 3 and 1/2".
Edge to edge this direction, not including the lip here at the bottom, and that really assists when opening the cover, so I'm just measuring to the bottom portion right here not including that lip, so from top to bottom we're looking at about 4 and 1/4". The overall depth is about 1 and 9/16 of an inch deep. The mount holes on the unit, these are separated on center, it's a square design, by 2 and 7/16 of an inch. Mounting hardware not included. The rated current is 10 amps, working voltage is 12 to 14 volt DC and it is a two wire design, and the wires are gauge 12 wires.

This solar port work great with a Furrion cord for use with ground mounted solar panels for RV camping.
A solar charge controller can be installed inside the RV before the house batteries or outside. My RV setup is in the attached photo. - an electrical engineer in Nevada.

Furrion does not include the mounting hardware with this Inlet. You can use self-tapping screws or nuts and bolts - whatever hardware works best for your installation.
