Install your Curt electric trailer brake controller quickly and easily with this custom wiring adapter. Simply plug one end of the adapter into your brake controller and then plug the other end into the built-in port beneath your 's dash.
Features:
To install your Curt electric brake controller, you need to connect the wiring of the controller to your vehicle. Certain auto manufacturers offer pre-wired options, typically known as tow packages, wherein wiring is run for you from the dash to the trailer connector on the back of your vehicle. When this is done, a port is installed at your dash so that you can easily plug in a brake controller.
This adapter plugs into the ports on your vehicle's built-in brake control wiring harness. The harness is located underneath the dash, above your gas pedal, and it is taped to another harness.
No hardwiring is required to install this adapter. After you plug it into the 2 factory ports, you simply plug the other end of the adapter directly into your electric trailer brake controller. Because there are no wires to connect, installation is not permanent. You can unplug and remove your brake controller at any time to transfer it to another vehicle or securely stow it away.

The wires took literally 2 seconds to find under the dash, per etrailers instructional video, and took another to 2 seconds to clip on the pigtail. Hooked up the brake controller and powered up fine. Haven't got a chance to use it yet since the car hauler is about 400 ft back on the property and I got the truck stuck going back to try and get it. Its awdul muddy here in michigan in April. Hopefully some warm weather soon so I can get to it and try this controller out! I ordered it on Wednesday, did 2nd day shipping and called to insure I could receive it by Friday, the lady on the phone had them ship it, within ten minutes I had a confirmation email.

This is a DIRECT FIT for my 2014 Ram 1500!! I mounted the controller at the bottom of the center console and everything was perfect! The directions were easy to follow and the installation was a breeze!
This adapter is exactly what I needed for my '13 ram. Plugged right in, no issues.
Ordered about 1 year ago. It has worked great. Looks great and easy to install. Takes a little getting use to it. Looks very stylish in my 2013 Ram. It goes perfect with the inside trim.
ordered product n the 27th got it on the 3rd. it took all of about 2 minutes to put it all together & install it, directions as to where to find the hidden connectors were right on. Trailer is up north so I won.t be using it for a cpl months but delivery and installation instructions were spot on. ( not the first time I have used etrailer by the way!!)
