Brake Controller Wiring Harness for Curt Brake Controller and 2014 Ram 1500
Question:
Does the wiring harness sold by Curt have a diode ,I have been told that is a must if I install this on my truck

Helpful Expert Reply:
There is a special brake controller wiring harness required by the 2014 Ram 1500. It plugs into 2 places instead of just one like other trucks. It isn't a diode issue just an issue that where a controller plugs in the proper signal needed by the brake controller isn't present. So manufacturers determine where that signal can be obtained and developed new harnesses that plug in at 2 locations.
For the Curt Reflex you would need wiring harness # C51453 for your 2014 Ram. I have linked a video on another harness that fits showing where it installs.
