Upgrading to Proportional Brake Controller on 2014 Ram 2500
Question:
Hi there I have a 2014 Ram Tradesman with Curt 51110 time based controller and wanted to upgrade to a proportional. Is that and easy swap to this controller? Would it be easier to use make the swap for a Curt51140 instead since I already have the 51100 installed?

Neither option is going to prove particularly difficult, so you could certainly go with the Curt TriFlex # C24VV for a proportional controller since you already have wiring harness # C51453 on your 2014 Ram 2500.
That said, I would highly recommend going with the Prodigy P3 # 90195; it is the most popular model we carry due to its effectiveness and ease of use. It offers three different boost levels so you can adjust your braking power, has constant diagnostic checks, contains safeguards which defend your controller against shorts, and features an LCD display which is much easier to read than that of other controllers. This controller has been met with nearly universal praise; it has been reviewed by our customers more than 2,000 times and is averaging close to 5 out of 5 stars.
To install this in your '14 Ram 2500 would require Wiring Adapter # 3023-P.
