Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this Bulldog winch universal winch wireless remote kit. This is going to give you this wireless remote that will allow you to operate your winch from up to 65 feet away. So it will replace the wired remote included with your Bulldog winch, so that you have a little bit more freedom of movement and how far away you can stand. You don't have to worry about getting that wired remote tangled up in trees or whatever the situation may be. So this control box is going to mount onto the powered unit with the included hook and loop tape.

Just peel off that backing. It's got that 3M adhesive, so you can stick that there and then pull off the other side. And then you'll still have that hook and loop option, so if you needed to remove it, you could. Or you can use some mounting screws here on the sides. Mounting screws are not included, but that's another option for you.

And this is going to wire into your winch. It is a universal design, so should be very easy to get wired in place. They do include instructions for you getting the remote all set up, but they also include a diagram here that explains how to wire that in. So then the remote itself, it's gonna have the in and out buttons to retract and deploy your cable. It is going to have a delayed power on to prevent any accidental use.

And you can see there is a lanyard hole here. So if you wanted to attach a lanyard or key chain or something like that to make sure that you don't misplace the remote, you can do that.
