This synthetic rope is made of HMPE fiber that is lightweight yet stronger than steel. This synthetic rope is safer to use than a steel rope because it generates less kinetic energy - and therefore less kickback - if a break occurs. It won't stretch - or creep - over time like steel rope can. It floats, so it's easy to identify when you're rigging in creeks or in mud. And it's also less likely to fray and create sharp strands so it's easier to handle and easier to spool. It includes a stainless steel tube thimble for easy attachment of your hook.
It is recommended to use this rope with a hand-saver strap (sold separately) and in conjunction with work gloves (sold separately) so that you can safely handle the rope and hook.

Today we're taking a look at a Bulldog Winch ATV synthetic rope. Now this synthetic rope is designed for ATV winches or Powersport winches. It's made of high-quality HMPE. It's a synthetic rope design. It measures six millimeters in diameter by 50 feet long and this is designed up to 4.4k winches so that's the capacity of the unit.Now synthetic rope is lightweight. It's stronger than steel on a weight-for-weight basis and it's safer than steel so it stores less kinetic energy.
It's easier to spool and it's easier to handle. There's no sharp strands on a synthetic rope. Right here we have the tube thimble, which protects the rope when a hook is attached.This is the hook end and then over here we have the bare end, which would actually feed into the winch. - Can I Switch a Cable for a Strap on the DL25001We have a good solution for you but the Dutton-Lainson StrongArm Electric Winch w/ Remote - 3,000 lbs part # DL25001 does not have the accommodation for a strap. Instead I recommend using the Replacement Synthetic Rope for Bulldog Winch Trailer and ATV/UTV Winches - 1/4" x 50' part # BDW20095 . While this is a longer rope it allows you to cut it to the length you want so you will likely be able to extend its reach. - Can Dutton-Lainson Hand Brake Winch Be Used with Synthetic RopeThe Dutton-Lainson Hand Winch # DL11004 that you referenced is only designed to handle straps like the 20 foot long # DL24242. It should not be used with synthetic rope like 6mm # BDW20095. There aren't any Dutton-Lainson hand winches that can be used with synthetic rope. This is because synthetic ropes are slippery, can slide over surfaces too easily, and have been known to jam the reel and drive gears together on winches like this.
