Today, we're going to review part number BWRVB3200. This is the replacement base for the B&W Patriot 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch, has a 16,000 pound weight capacity. Now for video demonstration purposes, here I do have the space already mounted on a set of rails just to give you an idea of how it installs. This base right here along with the B&W Patriot head assembly which is a part number BWRVC3200, that we do sell separately. If you put this base with that head assembly, that will make up the B&W Patriot 5th wheel trailer hitch that we also sell. Its part number BWRVK3200. Now, both of those are also listed on our website. On the space here, it comes with these two adjustable pivot arms.
I do have them installed here just to give you an idea of it, but basically these pivot arms have two rows of holes that you can actually line up with the multitude of holes that are drilled on the base here, so you can actually do four vertical adjustments. In other words, up or down to get you the correct coupler height for your application and it will range anywhere from depending on how you set it; 16 inches, 17 inches, 18 inches, or 19 inches, so you can get it to the right coupler height. The coupler height would be from your truck bed to the top of the plate on your 5th wheel hitch. It will also have three horizontal adjustments. In other words, to get you more cab clearance. The three adjustments will get you up to a 4 inch range for extra cab clearance.
If you'll notice on the top of these pivot arms, these are the polyurethane bushings. That's where the hitch head would sit on these and basically these polyurethane bushings will prevent metal to metal contact and it offers a rattle-free ride. This is a very quick simple installation. Basically, this base would just drop into the industry standard above-bed base rails. It is made of a steel with a great powder coat finish to help resist corrosion. Also, comes with the four pins and clips.
Once you drop into the rails, you'll run the pin and clips to lock it into place. Few specs on this: The gross towing weight capacity is 16,000 pounds. The vertical load limit or pin weight capacity is 4000 pounds. That should do it for the review on part number BWRVB3200, the replacement base for the B&W Patriot 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch. .
