by:

Product was as expected.

by:

Packing, shipping&Item PERFECT!!! etrailer your the bomb !!!

by:

Plug is great it comes w/o the wire releaf support at the tail end of plug.

by:

I searched locally for a 7-pin trailer plug without finding any round-pin styles only flat blade. I searched online and found this plug.
This plug is very well made, easy to connect wires to and fits the socket on my Kubota tractor.
Also, it was in stock and shipped much faster than I expected, which I greatly appreciated.

I am very pleased with the product. It is working great on my Kubota tractor.

by:

the connector is "as advertised" (which is refreshing) it needs some sort of protective cover of the wires as they enter the plug, but maybe it is available and i didn't see to order it. I would buy it again.

by:

If you have any agricultural equipment, this is the easiest way to adapt the normal automotive style connectors to your vehicles and equipment. Great product, and as usual, ETrailer.com has the best price and least expensive way of shipping it to you.

Still great,

by:

The plugs did what they were supposed to do, and the customer service was excellent.

by:

The way the connector comes apart & goes back together is very sensible. The terminal connections can accommodate large wires - up to 12 gauge on all except for 1 that can go up to 10 gauge as far as I can remember. They could possibly handle larger but I didn't check since I didn't need the wires that large. They're labeled for standard 7-way trailer wire colors, which is useful for most people but I couldn't go by it. Mine was a custom application. If a spring strain relief came with it that would be awesome but I wouldn't expect it for the price I paid. Hope that info helps.

by:

I got exactly what I expected. Great customer service & follow through.

This is a quality connector that was used to support electrical connections between my RV and toad. Its held up beautifully & I continue to be very pleased with it.

by:

I have a 1993 ford e150 with a factory I installed trailer connector round pin. I couldn't find a 7 to 4 match anywhere. Then I saw this pk11700 adapter and it worked great. Plus I have extra connectors now to add other lights. Great product thx

by:

It came exactly as described, and in a timely manner.

I bought it to use on my tractor, but decided to wire accessories different. I may use the plug at a later date.

by:

The cable end plug arrived on the exact estimated date I was given on the day of ordering. Wiring it is very simple. There is a screw for each terminal opening. Use a small phillips screwdriver to thread the screw out, insert the wire, and then tighten the screw.
A retention clamp is an integral part of the plug. Again it is a simple matter of turning a screw to open it and tighten it back down again. The plug is well made and should last a long time. It is exactly the replacement part I was looking for.
I will come back to etrailer.com when I need related items. I highly recommend.

by:

Just reviewed the truck receiver half of this product - same deal. Nice heavy parts - little plastic. Nice big round brass contact pins; due to the fact that these parts are cast, there is little chance of water/dirt/condensation working into the wire contacts. Locks in tight with the receiver. All in all, a good purchase.

by:

Haven't wired up the connector yet. Would have been nice if the standard wiring diagram used through out the USA would have been included. Then the trailer would be wired correctly to any vehicle that was using it. Mine didn't have the trailer brake or back up lite shown.

by:

I have used this connector on an equipment trailer for the last year with no issues. It has worked flawlessly. It was a good decision to go with this item.

by:

i did not realize there are TWO different sizes of 7 pin round connectors ?? apparently i have the smaller one and the one i got was way to BIG .....

by:

It is very refreshing in this age of Internet shopping to find a site that provides good product information, competitive pricing and great customer before and after the purchase. Product was exactly what the product info on the site stated. Appreciate the good service and will definitely use etrailer.com for future needs.

Thanks.

Worked perfectly to replace an electrical plug one of our drivers ripped off by accident. Was able to save the whole harness for $10 with this!

by:

For me, and probably you, etrailer.com is a great place to shop/buy quality products. They give great follow up after ordering and fast shipping @ a fair price. I believe their service & pricing is unbeatable. I do shop for bargains & etrailer is @ the top of my list.

by:

Plug appears to be of very good quality and is as represented. We are using this plug to make an adapter harness to plug our RV into a semi tractor.

by:

Product arrived timely and in excellent condition. It came with SAE J560 instructions that were helpful. Wiring the connector was easy.

by:

Solid product. Can't wait to get it installed. Going to use it as a auxiliary power device for my tractor hardtop. Lights and wiper hookups.

  • What is an ICC Marker Light for a 60 Foot Gooseneck Trailer
ICC stands for Interstate Commerce Commission. An ICC light is on a switch, though it could also be wired into another circuit such as the running lights. It is basically so that when you flip the switch the marker lights will flash. Typically this was only found on commercial applications (the trucking industry). The ICC was abolished in the mid 1990s. You can look up current regulations as specified for trailers by the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard or FMVSS 108 for the US and...

Thank you for the photo; it shows that you have the Pollak 7-Pole Trailer Wiring Socket # PK11720. That would be the replacement if you are looking for a new one. If you are looking for the trailer end connector the Pollak 7-Pole Trailer Wiring Connector # PK11700 would be what you need. • Troubleshooting Trailer Brake Controller That Outputs 4 Volts with No Brake and No Manual Override
If you are testing at your vehicle's 7-way and are detecting just over 4 volts on the brake circuit when neither the brake pedal nor manual override are engaged then you may have a bad controller, or you could have a short in your trailer socket that is allowing the 12V power circuit to bleed over to the brake circuit. Carefully inspect the 7-way (inside and out) for signs of corrosive build-up that could be bridging circuits. If you are testing the controller's output on the blue wire...

  • Can a 7-Way Round Pin on a Peterbuilt 335 be Adapted to a 7-Way RV Style Connector
The 7-Way round on your Peterbuilt is likely the big rig style. This style does not have the same functions as an RV blade style 7-Way connector. On the big rig 7-Way the brake light and turn signals are on separate bulbs and typically RV style taillights are combined where the brake lights and turn signals are on the same circuit. What you can do is use a converter to combine the brake lights and turn signals. Converter # RM-732 has a white ground wire, red brake light wire, yellow left...

  • 7 way Round to 4 Way Flat Adapter Recommendation
The 7-way round style of connector that the # 47405 has is the same style that is typically found on tractor trailer type rigs. The issue you may run into is that the taillight circuits of your tractor are separate, meaning that the brake lights and the stop lights are carried on separate circuits. If that is the case just the # 47405 wouldn't work. If this is the case you will want the converter part # C56175 and a male round 7-way part # PK11700.

  • Recommended Female Semi-Trailer Connector
Sounds like you are looking for the trailer end plug for your tester that will fit into semi-trailers. Most commercial trailers will use a 7-way heavy-duty pin setup like # PK11720. The female matching connector for this is the # PK11700 you were looking at. To wire this up to your tester I recommend a length of jacketed 7-wire # DW04914-1, this is sold per foot. You can use a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 to check the wires by function when installing a connector. The Pollak Heavy-Duty, 7-Pole, Round Pin # PK11700 that you referenced does have a pin that carries a 12 volt accessory circuit which can be used to put a maintenance charge on a trailer battery.
