How to Adapt a 7-Way Round Connector to a 7-Way Flat
Question:
can you show me how to build a 7 pin round to a 7 blade rv

Expert Reply:
The easiest way to go from a 7-way round connector to a 7-way flat would be to get a Trailer Connector Adapter part # HM47425.
However, if you are looking for a more permanent solution you would need to remove your 7-way round connector and wire up the trailer wiring to a 7-way flat connector like part # PK12706.
In order to do that check out the different diagrams I attached that will help you wire up the new connector. The wiring could be different so you may need to verify the functions of each circuit before you wire up the 7-way.

How do you address the issue that a 7 pin round has a dedicated brake light wire, and a 7 pin flat requires the brake lights to travel through the turn signal wires?
