I wanted one with a LED tester built into it to "trick" my SUV into thinking I had a trailer connected when really it was just a bike rack so the car didn't slam in it's brakes while reversing thinking it was something else. So I bought a different adapter.

The picture slightly deceived me into thinking this had LED tester because the plug is attached by a rubber string (that I thought was a wire). So add another picture of the other side and that would eliminate my confusion.

4 stars because it probably works the way 99% of people would want to use it for.

I see what you wanted to do however using a LED tester would not provide enough resistance to make the SUV think that a trailer was plugged in. Typically what I recommend is turning off the feature in the SUV when you are using the bike rack. I know it can be a bit of a pain.

Everything worked out well. On time and fits perfect. Attach hitch setup and my new Ridgeline.
It comes with a 2" inch receiver and I have a full compliment of 1.25. stuff from my previous car. All from etrailer i must admit!
so I needed the 2-1.25 reducer, a good lock, and the 7-4 reducer for my goodies!
Thanks for the grest service

great use it a lot

by:

I used this outlet plug to have 12 volt to power our shuttle pump on the water wagon to pump chemicals into our chem farm mix tank works really well easy to wire and very nice looking very durable .

by:

Works well with hitch and harness I purchased for e-trailer.

by:

It works, it doesn’t have indicator lights so it doesn’t make my Rivian think I’m towing unless I actually am. The cap is difficult to remove as it’s recessed into the unit, overall it does the job.

by:

This Pollak 7 Pole to 4 Way Connector Adapter is exactly what I needed and works great. I just used it a couple days ago, and after having it for over a year, it's just as reliable as day one. I highly recommend it.

by:

This adapter plugs in to the OEM receptacle without any excessive effort and the flat 4 pin connector on my utility trailer also plugs into the adapter without any excessive effort. As a bonus there is a cover for the 4 pin side of the adapter to protect it the elements when not in use.

by:

Does what it is supposed to do. Just make sure to push it in all the way for a good connection

by:

Just the adapter I needed at a reasonable price and quick delivery.

by:

Does what it's supposed to.

by:

Exactly what I wanted, received in good shape and on time!

by:

Does the job. No issues, made well.

by:

The trailer connector was easy to use and worked as advertised with no problems.

Still operating like new. Great product.

by:

Exactly waht I needed

by:

Best brake controller. Very easy to install and use.

by:

Fit perfectly on my 2020 Sprinter trailer plug in. It adapted my 4 prong flat connector for my bicycle carrier lights

by:

I have bought several items from etrailer that are high quality, affordable and sometimes not available in my area.

by:

First time buying a tow bar. Great experience with Jesse at errailer. etrailer videos are excellent.

by:

Although I am commenting on this product, I actually would like to comment on the following products. I purchased a brake system, tow bar, base plates and wire harness from etrailer. All of my orders were filled in a timely manner. When I reached out for technical assistance, the advisors were readily accessible. All of the products were installed by me. All of the products were very easy to install by using the video and instructions.

by:

This will work on my trailer but need a plug that will fit in here so I can plug the 7 way pole into it.

I am happy to locate the plug that you need, however I was uncertain of what you are looking for. Are you looking to add a 7 way to your trailer?

by:

Easy to plug in and remove. Works great.

by:

Received the replacement item in record time. I will check out the ability to allow the ML350 to light the LED equipped trailer.

Cheers,

Gary

Continues to work as advertised!

by:

Once I got the receptacle for my 2021 VW ID.4 I needed the convert. This is retained nicely by the door on the receptacle so that it does not fall off enroute.

by:

Good quality and the connections are snug and won’t come out too easily.

by:

The adapter works GREAT and the shipping was very fast! Thank you!!!!

  • Best 7-Way to 4-Way Adapter for Salt Water
For a 7-way to 4-way adapter I recommend the Pollak 7 Pole to 4 Way Connector Adapter # PK12716. This adapter has a non-corrosive nylon shell so salt water would not be a concern. If you need an adapter that is more than just a plug and has some extra cable, I recommend the Hopkins Heavy-Duty Trailer Coiled Wire Adapter # HM47065. This adapter has a heavy-duty coiled cable with weatherproof jacketing that stretches up to 5' in length. It also has tin-plated terminals for corrosion resistance....

  • 4-Way to 7-Way Adapter Recommendation for a Trailer
Having a 7-way female connector on your trailer is pretty uncommon. The reason you are having a hard time finding an adapter is because of that. You would want to replace the 7-way on your trailer with a male 7-way so that you can use an adapter like part # PK12716. For that you would want the part # H20042.

To tow your 2014 Mazda CX-5 behind your motorhome, it will require a few things. First, your CX-5 must be equipped with standard front-wheel drive. If your Mazda CX-5 has AWD, it should get towed with all four wheels off of the ground. Next, the Demco Kar Kaddy X Tow Dolly # DM9713093 will have disc brakes, offering superior stopping abilities. The tilting bed frame also allows for easy loading and unloading of the vehicle. The only downside to this option will be that it takes up a fair...

  • Best Trailer Hitch Receiver and Vehicle Wiring Harness For a 2024 Cadillac XT5
I recommend our etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e62AR as the best option for your 2024 Cadillac XT5. Our receiver will fit behind the removable factory cutout in your rear fascia. For the wiring we have a 4-Way # C56325 or 7-Way # C56326 connector. If in doubt it is best to go with the 7-way as you will be able to use an Adapter # PK12716 to go down to a 4-way connection. You will need a Mounting Bracket # C67UR to secure the end of the 7-way.

The factory 7-Way on your 2013 Nissan Frontier should be able to come apart like in the picture I have included. If it can then you can replace the 7-Way part with # HM40975. Or you could just use an adapter, # PK12716, for times when you need a 4-Way flat.

Often a loaded bike rack can block a substantial portion of a vehicle's rear lighting so adding supplementary lighting to your 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited when you are using your Thule 4-bike hitch rack is a sensible safety-conscious notion. The simplest and most cost-effective method to add lighting to your Wrangler is to use a kit designed for use with tow bars (as when vehicles are towed by a motor home) such as the Optronics # TL21RK. Yes, we do have the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C23WR which has been confirmed to fit your 2024 Hyundai Santa Cruz. I do recommend also installing the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C68JR when you install the receiver. This will give you the larger 7-blade connection or you can use the Adapter # PK12716 if you are towing a smaller trailer with only a 4-way flat connector.

Actually, yes. The 4 and 7-Way connector # HM40975, can be used in place of the 7-Way only part of wiring harness # 118267. Another option is to just use an inexpensive adapter, # PK12716, when you need to plug in a 4-Way trailer connector.
