Provider Radials with Automotive-Grade Tread

Provider Tread Vs Standard Tread

Unlike standard trailer tire tread, which has solid, continuous ribs, the automotive-grade tread on these Provider radials has ribs with breaks. These breaks allow water to run off to the sides. The Provider tread also has sipes. Siping is a process in which thin grooves (or sipes) are cut into the rubber of the tire. The grooves channel water away from the tread so that the tire makes better contact with the road. Both of these features greatly improve traction during wet, snowy, or icy conditions.

Provider radials are constructed with double polyester cords and double steel belts for increased durability and endurance. A protective layer of nylon is wrapped around the steel belts to help prevent tread separation. Provider radials are bake tested - a process usually reserved for automotive tires - to ensure that the rubber holds up over time.

Radial Tires vs. Bias Tires

Radial tire vs bias tire graphic

Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway. The cords on a radial tire are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes, unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. As a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance and heat buildup, which leads to a longer tread life and improved steering at higher speeds.

Replacement tires for 1998 United Expressline 7x14 box trailer.

No concerns. Serving me well, a good investment.

by:

I was looking for a tire to replace one that had a large cotter pin stuck in it. I wanted to match the other 3 tires on the flatbed trailer I use to transport my compact tractor as closely as possible because the other tires were relatively new and still in good shape. etrailer.com had an exact match, so I bought 2 tires. I was glad etrailer.com had the same tire I needed to replace. The tires I ordered were delivered in just a few days.

by:

I've had these tires on my trailer for a year now. I use my trailer every week! These tires have made a smooth ride for my trailer and given me the dependability and confidence that I expected when I bought them.

by:

Very happy with these tires from etrailer.com. I'm in construction and use them on my 16 ft. utility trailer and they r on the road working nearly ever day on the year just like me and the rest of the crew. They are wearing well after one year and I'm ready to purchase a set for the other side. I got this pair after a blow out on the freeway. My pictures will show I lost tread on the rear tire that took off my entire fender. Replacing it be my next purchase. I certainly recommend them to everyone I know. Etrailers service, pricing and professionalism will keep me returning to their site. I have purchased running lights and a few other items for my trailer from these folks. For me it so much easier to have all u need at one site why go anywhere else. Most online companies have figured out fast delivery and etrailer on it. I click...it comes to my door.

Since I had wrote an earlier review the trailer in shown was rear ended at a high speed and was totaled. The good news is these tires were running great so I pulled them off and installed them on another trailer. There still have plenty of tread and are still in service. I recommended etrailer and these tries a year ago and still recommended them now. Thanks etrailer. Good job.

by:

Exact replacement for our Lamar Trailer. Thanks!

by:

You guys the best.
Lightning fast delivery,no
problem.
(buying these tires again because they "cheap" and high quality.pulling the trailer for living, after 3 years i can tell this with confidence.
And yes next set of 4 will buy here again.
Thank you.

Its one of those products - you buy and RUN.?? Its been 4 years i am on these tires. And its not weekend camperits work 16 feet tailer, double axle. Great tires.

Exact match for what I had. Tire manufactured date was recent.

I love the message these tires give on my BBQ Trailer…. “Provider”

by:

Great looking tires. Competitive with price. Was shipped and arrived immediately. Very happy with etrailer as a supplier of parts.

by:

I chose the Taskmaster ST radial tire for its speed rating, ride quality and highway handling. The ratings I read placed it a close second to the Maxxis ST radial which I consider the best ST radial. The Taskmaster is priced so attractively I couldn't pass it up. Along with the tires I purchased new Dexstar wheels which were a direct replacement for the wheels on my trailer. The old wheels had weathered from the Az sun and had many miles on them. The great price e-trailer offers these wheels for made my decision an easy one. I chose the Provider tire and silver mod wheel combination for my spare setup. The provider tire is nearly identical to the Taskmaster and the mod wheel it came mounted on is also very similar to the Dexstar wheel I purchased. This is a quality setup at a great price. My overall experience at e-trailer was exceptional. Great prices, rapid, properly packaged shipping with outstanding follow up and customer service. I highly recommend this company!

The Taskmaster tires are the best trailer tires Ive ever used. The ride quality as far better than any bias ply trailer tire and the traction is better due to tire design. I also feel a lot better about running 65 MPH on these tires. Ill buy them again!

by:

I have been pleased with over and under axel kit, rims and tires .it changed the whole appearance ,well pleased
Shipping was quick ,will definitely order with etrailer again.

So far so good. Just received my tires and will be having them installed later this week. The value was great and delivery was actually sooner than expected. I can't wait to get on the road

by:

I am extremely happy with my order. It was fast and easy. Thank you for the follow up emails that gave me peace of mind. I will definitely order from you in the future. Great job!

by:

Ordering trailer tire doesn’t get any e asier.

by:

I ordered 4 of these to put on my pull behind camp trailer. The trailer weighs 6,000lbs empty and I add 60 gallons of fresh water (approximately 480lbs) plus other stuff. I would guess loaded it would be around 7,000lbs. I drive between 60 and 70mph with no tracking issues. I've put about 1,500 miles on them and they're still looking good and have had no issues. Dealing with eTrailer was effortless delivery time was as expected. I mounted them myself, I have access to a tire machine so that was not an issue for me. I am very happy with them.

by:

I have not had any problems with the Provider ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tires. They seem to be wearing well. I am considering ordering another set for my other trailer. etrailer has a great selection of tires and delivery was quick. Thanks etrailer.

by:

Excelente quality of tire.. I used my trailer almost everything for landscaping jobs . And these tires are holding up pretty good…

by:

I'm very pleased with all of my purchases from eTrailer. Everything has seemed to be of excellent quality and value. The wiring kits and directions were very well thought out and one of the projects I completed would not have been possible had it not been for the excellent videos on the website.

I'm an eTrailer customer for life!

Fast service!

by:

i haven't traveled with these yet, but expectations are totally positive. These are among only a couple of models with a speed rating (M- 81MPH) that will give me peace making use of the 75 MPH limits here. I am surprised these are not available locally, but dealing with etrailer was so straightforward it doesn't really matter.

etrailer promptly shipped all 5 tires as a group of individual boxes, and the parcel service's processes didn't keep them all together. I received three tires on Friday, and due to the holiday weekend, didn't see the other two until the following Tuesday! The carrier's tracking system statused them as 'Delivered' on Friday. I don't know how frequently that happens.

Anyway, etrailer answered all my questions in detail prior to purchase. I'm pleased with the responsiveness and efficient business operation, and I will be back.

by:

These tires were what I was looking for! I installed them on my RV and are holding up great! etrailer.com is definitely the way to go when you need a tire for your RV or utility trailer. etrailer.com provides all the info needed, bolt pattern, and weight limit , etc. I cannot find this type of help or information locally. And, reasonable price and free shipping is just awesome!

by:

Ordered two tires, one of them was the wrong size. Because of this my business was halted until I had to pay more to get a new tire from a local business. E-trailer sent me a new tire with instructions to send back the new one that went to my spam folder and I didn't see until it was too late. They charged my credit card for the replacement tire because I had not returned the bad one. So essentially I had to buy 3 tires total to get the 1 that I needed. If it were my business, I would have just written off the mistake in the first place and kept business going.

by:

I ordered 4 tires for my travel trailer. My order was delayed until the tires were shipped to Etrailer from the tire manufacturer. This was not a problem for me because I didn't need them immediately. What I really appreciated was that I got a phone call and email from etrailer just to let me know that my order would be delayed and making sure that this wouldn't be a problem. Etrailer is great to work with, always accountable, courteous, and there to help with any questions you may have! Great company! Oh yeah....the tires are great too!

by:

Wheel & tire perfoming well...still round & inflated.

by:

Exactly what I ordered. Needed new tires and a spare, the order was completely correct with 5 on 5 lug pattern on the tire/wheel combo. This is how suppliers earn trust from their customers, and the fast delivery is a big plus. I will return for more items as I need them....GREAT JOB etrailer.com!!!

  • Availability of Taskmaster Provider ST205/75R15 LR D on black Steel Modular Trailer Wheel
You are correct that the Provider ST205/75R15 with the Load Range C # TTWTRTM2057515C is a 6 ply while the Load Range D # TR20515D is an 8 ply. The Load Range C is available on the Black Steel Modular Trailer Wheel with the 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern as part # AM32238B. In a load Range D we have it in the black spoke rim with powder coat finish with part # WST44FR or the Black Mod Vesper finish with part # MX47FR. For tires that are smaller than 225/75-15 you can use size 205/75-15 tires, which will be roughly 0.8" narrower and 0.8" smaller in diameter; you will need to have tires that fit 15" wheels. The 205/75R15 tires I recommend checking out are the Provider # TTWTRTM2057515C. These tires have a tread depth of 10/32" and a tread depth bar so you can easily see if they are getting worn down; they are load range C tires that have a maximum capacity of 1,820 lbs at 50 psi.

  • Recommended Replacements for 185/75-14 and 205/65-15 Tires for Trailer
Let's start with the 185/75-14. This is typically used as a passenger car tire size, and would be 25.7 inches in diameter by 7 inches wide. The closest trailer tire size we offer to that is 205/75-14, which would measure 26.14 in diameter by 8 inches wide. Going with this size would move your tire about 1/4 inch closer to the fender or wheel well and 1/2 inch closer to the trailer on the inside, which shouldn't prove to be problem. I'd recommend going with the Taskmaster Provider radial...

  • Recommended Replacement Wheels for Light Trailer with 5 on 5-1/2 Bolt Pattern and 205-75R15 Tires
The only 5 on 5-1/2 inch rim we have is the # TA37RR. This wheel has a pilot diameter of 4-1/4 inches and a capacity of 2,160 lbs. A 205-75R15 radial tire that will fit this wheel is the Taskmaster Load Range C # TTWTRTM2057515C. This tire will have an outer diameter of 27.13 inches when fully inflated and have a section width of 7.99 inches. A radial tire is better for highway and on-road use. • What Would Prevent Trailer Wheel from Fitting Flush to Hub
Hey Hiram, what you described does not sound good. It sounds like the bore of the hub is too wide for the pilot diameter (center hole diameter) of your wheel so the wheel isn't sitting flush. If you attempted to drive with this setup bad things are most likely going to happen.

  • Recommended 205/75-15 Tires for Single Axle Utility Trailer
The Provider ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire part # TTWTRTM2057515C have a load range c rating so they will be good for up to 1,820 lbs each. It seems like you have upgraded to a larger tire size at one point so you won't need to worry about maxing the weight capacity of the tires out since they are rated for much higher than your trailer. They have an 81 mph speed rating which is perfect for long highway trips.

  • Should 205/75-15 Bias Trailer Tires be Replaced With Radial Trailer Tires for Highway Driving
I highly recommend switching from bias trailer tires to radial trailer tires for highway travel. The reason for that is radial trailer tires are designed for use on normal paved roads and highways because they flex more and run cooler than bias tires. The cords on a radial tire run at a 90 degree angle straight across the tire while the cords on a bias tire run at a 32 degree angle. That leads to the better flexing, traction and ground contact with a radial tire. A bias tire is best for...

Any of the Load Ranges you mentioned in your tire size of 205/75R15 would be adequate for your two 3,500 lb trailer axles but I would go with the Provider part # TTWTRTM2057515C which has an 1,830 lb max load weight capacity and has a higher speed rating as well.

6.70-15 is an older tire size that can be replaced by 205/75-15 tires, which we do offer. I recommend going with the Westlake ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire - Load Range D, # LHWL300. This is a great radial tire with a maximum load of 2,150 lbs. The tire includes a 5-year warranty and 2-year complimentary roadside assistance. If you can get away with something less heavy-duty than a load range D tire, I recommend the load range C Provider ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire, # TTWTRTM2057515C....

With trailer tires like the part # TTWTRTM2057515C that you referenced you always have to run them at their maximum PSI to get their full capacity and prevent over-heating and failure. This tire needs to be inflated to 50 psi so that you get the full 1,820 psi rating.

A 7.00-15 tire is typically mounted on a 5, 5-1/2 or 6 inch wide wheel, which will handle a 205/75-15 tire just fine. For a load range C radial tire with a 1820 lb capacity, I'd recommend the Taskmaster Provider # TTWTRTM2057515C or for a load range D radial with a 2150 lb capacity, go with # TR20515D.

  • After How Many Years Should Trailer Tires Be Replaced
Even when stored in the somewhat controlled environment of a garage, tires are still subject to dry rot and flat spotting. Even if the tire tread has plenty of depth left and you can't see any cracking with the naked eye, the generally accepted rule of thumb states that trailer tires should be replaced after about 6 or 7 years.
