  • Bearing Buddies and Seals Compatible With # AKHD-655-35-K Hub/Brake Drum for 3500 lb Axle
We do have Bearing Buddies that would fit the 1.980 inch diameter hub bore used by the # AKHD- 655-35-K hub/drum. I'd recommend the stainless steel version, part # BB1980A-SS. For the Bearing Buddy seals, use # BB60002. Unfortunately, the # AKHD-655-35-K is a pre-packaged kit, we can't substitute any parts. The #TRU84FR spindle is compatible with the L44649 and L681449 bearings used by the hub/drum you're interested in, so it could be fabricated into a spare tire mount. I've linked you...

  • Replacement Axle for a 1991 Lowe Boat Trailer
None of the spindles we carry have the same measurements as what you have. The only real recommendation I could make would be to replace the axle since by the time you buy the spindles, have them professionally installed and get the correct hubs you're almost at the same price as just getting a new axle. In order to recommend an axle assembly for you, I'll need some more information. First, you will need to ensure that the existing wheels and tires you are using are rated for the extra...

  • Recommended Replacement Disc Brakes For A 2008 Trail-Rite With UFP DB-42 Brakes
From the pictures you provided, you have a UFP DB-42 disc brake set up on your 2008 Trail-Rite. This isn't something we carry, but it looks like these systems use the # L68149 inner bearing and the # L44649 bearing, so you do have a common spindle for a 3,500 pound axle. With that said, we do have the Kodiak Disc Brake Kit # K2HR35DS that looks like it would be a perfect replacement. This is rated for 3,500 pound axles and will use these same bearings, though not included so you will need...

  • Replacement Hub For Boat Trailer Using Bearings L68149 And L44649
The closest we have is Trailer Idler Hub Assembly for 3,500-lb E-Z Lube Axles - 5 on 4-1/2 - Galvanized # AKIHUB-545-35-G-EZ-K. This uses inner bearing L68149 (1.378" inner diameter) and outer bearing L44649 (1.063" inner diameter) that you currently have. It also has the outer race L44610 that you have. There is not a hub available that has the inner race L68110 that you have which measures 2.327". This kit includes inner race L68111 which measures 2.361". You can stick with your current...

  • Recommended Idler Hub w/ a 5 on 4-1/2 Bolt Pattern to Replace a Hadco Drum
We have ran into your request before. So I have an interesting solution. Your Hadco Drums use a Replacement Trailer Hub Bearing item # 501349 and a Replacement Trailer Hub Bearing item # LM67048. We have no hubs whatsoever available for this combo let alone ones as specific as you are requesting. In order to add a idler hub with a 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern like item # AKIHUB-545-35-K you are going to have to replace your spindles with one of the following options: #84 Spindle for 3,500-lb...

  • Is Dexter Trailer Hub 84545UC1-EZ Compatible with Spindle # TRU74FR
Yes, trailer hub # 84545UC1-EZ is a fit for spindle # TRU84FR. This is a number 84 spindle that takes the same bearings and seals that are included with the hub. However, the hub is an EZ lube hub and the spindle is not. For a compatible EZ lube spindle use # TRU74FR. This spindle also has a brake mounting flange.

  • Material Used and Tensile Strength of TruRyde Spindle # TRU84FR
According to TruRyde, the bar stock material used on spindles like # TRU84FR is SAE 1045 hot rolled. This allows the spindle to harden to an extent, but it is a medium tensile steel with a tensile strength of 570-700 MPa and Brinell hardness ranging between 170 and 210. The spindle is designed to retain a slight amount of flex to retain its durability when a trailer goes over a bump or through a hole in the road. TruRyde Spindle # TRU84FR is rated for use on 3,500 lb axles.

  • Hub and Spindle Recommendation for the Kenda 215/60-8 Bias Tire with 8 Galvanized Wheel # AM3H325
For a hub to match the bolt pattern of the # AM3H325 that you referenced you will want an idler hub that has a matching bolt pattern, 5 on 4-1/2 inches. For a hub I would recommend the part # 84545UC1-EZ, and then for a spindle part # TRU84FR.

  • Longest Replacement Trailer Spindle with 6 Lug Hub
The longest spindle we have is the part # TRU84FR which is 11-1/4 inches long overall. So for 6 lug hubs that would fit this you'd want the part # 84656UC3-EZ for a hub drum or part # AKIHUB-655-35-EZ-K for an idler hub.

  • Finding the Correct Spindle Size for Hub
From what I could find about your hub, you need the #84 spindle like # TRU84FR which is a round spindle. A more accurate way to figure out the needed spindle size is to first find out the measurements of your bearings. You can also measure the spindles on your damaged axle and match them to the inner diameter of the bearings that fit a #84 spindle. The matching bearing kit is Bearing Kit for #84 Spindle # BK2-100. This matches L44649/L68149 Bearings which is what I believe your hub uses,...

You should still be able to use your spindle without having to replace anything, especially because this is not in the seating areas for the bearings. Regardless, I recommend cleaning off the spindle with emery cloth to try to remove as much of the rust as possible. You'll want to take care to make sure that there is no pitting on the spindle that might damage the new bearings, which would be the only case that I recommend replacing the spindles. If you don't have an EZ-Lube spindle on your axle then you'll need to remove the hub, remove and repack the bearings, races and seals manually. Standard trailer bearings should be re-packed and greased every 10,000 to 12,000 miles in normal towing conditions; if you're routinely towing at maximum load or live in an extremely warm and dry area it might be less than that. This will be the only way to properly grease the bearings and spindle to perform this routine maintenance. If you don't...
