Adding Jeep Wheels and Tires With 5 on 5" Bolt Pattern To 4' X8' Harbor Freight Trailer

Question:

Hello, I have a 4x8 Harbor Freight trailer in really good condition but I would like to upgrade rims/tires. Im looking to replace the axle with one of your dexter models 20545I-ST-60-15. However, I would like to put larger tires on for light overland use - nothing crazy - dirt trails, a little rocky, but no serious climbing/crawling, and to feel more confident in highway conditions. Do you have an option for the Dexter 60inch axle but with 5 x 5 hubs? I have a set of Jeep tires that have that pattern Im trying to use for this setup. Kind of new to this so appreciate any coaching! thank you!

I do have a solution for you as currently our only only 5 on 5 hubs fit a larger # 84 Spindle # TRU84FR and the Dexter Axle # 20545I-ST-60-15 in your size only comes with the smaller BTR Spindle # TRU44FR.

The Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System # ASR1THDS02 with a straight spindle or Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System # ASR1THDS03 with a 4" lift spindle will give you the best performance for your Harbor Freight trailer. These systems will replace your axle and suspension giving you an independent suspension on your trailer. The suspension is also progressive so the trailer will not bounce like it does with leaf springs. They will allow you to mount the Easy Grease Trailer Idler Hub Assembly # AKIHUB-550-35-EZ-K as they are built to be stronger with the larger spindle size. This hub has the 5 on 5" bolt pattern that you are needing for your Jeep Wheels.
