Came as ordered, easy tracking will use etrailer again.

The part is just what we needed. I would ask for better packing to assure parts don't get lost in shipping. I would also ask that there be a packing list included in the box for the receiving team to identify PO it belongs to.

by:

Product was received as ordered. The box with the hubs and spindles was soaking wet and product was exposed. One of the boxes with tire and rim was torn open on the back. No apparent damage to any of the product. Typical UPS delivery.

by:

great price and they are working good. the unmachined side is about .015" over size so if your going to weld this in DOM tubing you need to grind or machine a little. Works really well, nice machine work on them

by:

The products don’t have any damage at all. We need to return it because they are the wrong size. Can you please let me know what do I have to do? Thanks

by:

Excellent delivery and just what we nee ded.

by:

The spindles themself are heavy and seem like good products but they were layed loose in box nothing keeping them from getting banged around in the box

  • Compatibility of AKHD-655-6-K with TRU57FR # 42 Spindles
The # TRU57FR spindle and # AKHD-655-6-K hub you mentioned are indeed compatible with each other. If you purchase the # AKHD-655-6-K hub, the 25580 and 15123 bearings, races, GS2250DL grease seal, grease cap, and lug nuts are included, so you wouldn't need to pick up the # BK3-100 bearing kit unless you wanted to have some spare parts on hand.

The Dexter Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly # 8-219-4UC3 fits a standard #42 Spindle # TRU57FR. While the Dexter Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly # 8-219-4UC3-EZ fits a E-Z Lube #42 Spindle # TRU37FR. You will need to select the appropriate assembly based on your spindle.

  • Which Spindle is Used with Trailer Hub Assembly, Part # 42865UC1
There are two spindle options for the Trailer Hub Assembly, part # 42865-KIT. The spindle used would depend on the capacity of your axle. For a 5000 pound axle, use part # TRU57FR. For a 5200 pound axle, you would use part # TRU37FR. The TRU37FR is an EZ lube spindle with the zerk fitting for adding grease to the bearing assemblies.

  • High Capacity Spindle or Axle for Hay Wagon
I wish we did, but we do not carry any 10k rated trailer spindles. The highest we have is a 7k spindle like part # TRU57FR. This is a standard spindle that could work well on your hay wagon as long as you didn't need more than a 7k capacity. We also carry the hubs compatible like the Trailer Idler Hub Assembly for 7,000-lb Axles - 8 on 6-1/2 - Pre-Greased # AKIHUB-865-7-2-K. If you want the axle and not just the spindles, then I recommend the Dexter Trailer Axle Beam with E-Z Lube Spindles...

  • Replacement Axle Assembly for 6,000 lb Torsion Axle Bend Spindle on 2012 ATC Car Hauler Trailer
If just the spindle is bent, we have the #42 Spindle for 5,200-lb to 7,000-lb Trailer Axles - 2-1/4" Diameter # TRU57FR as a replacement. If you have more than a bent spindle then the other option is to replace your entire axle. Because you don't have the hangers and leaf springs for a thru-axle replacement, the best option we have is to replace your axle with the slightly higher capacity Timbren Axle-less system. I recommend using the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System -...

I recommend Bearing Kit Item # BK3-110 that includes everything you need to replace your bearings and seal. Based on your information, it sounds like the replacement spindle you need is like Item # TRU57FR. I have included a link to our spindle department so you can look at other possibilities. • Welding #84 Spindles # TRU84FR and # TRU57FR for Utility Trailer with 2-3/8 inch O.D. Pipe
You have a 2-3/8 inch O.D. pipe so you might want to look at #84 Spindle, # TRU84FR, which has a 2 inch O.D. at the weld point and has a 1750 lb. capacity, so two spindles will give that axle 3,500 lb capacity. The #42 Spindle, TRU57FR which has a 2.25 inch O.D. at the weld point and is rated for 5,200 lbs to 7,000 lbs axles. The total capacities of the spindles are only valid if installed correctly and the axles are not broken or damaged in any way. The TruRyde #84 Spindle, # TRU47FR,...

  • Recommended Hubs and Spindles for 2500 lb Homemade Trailer
The first thing to determine is if you want an idler hub or a hub/drum. The weight threshold at which brakes are mandated varies by state, so you might want to check that with your state police or highway patrol. If you decide on an idler hub (no brakes), I'd recommend the # 42655UC1 hub from Dexter Axle. The bearings, races, grease seal, lug bolts and grease cap are included. The hub will have more than enough capacity for your application. This hub would use the # TRU57FR spindle. For...

  • Capacity of Trailer Axle Spindles # TRU57FR and # TRU34FR
The only capacities we have for the two spindles you mentioned is the capacity of them if they are used as they are intended on a trailer axle. The part # TRU34FR is for a 3,000 lb axle so it has a 1,500 lb capacity and the # TRU57FR is intended for a 5,000 lb axle so it has a 2,500 lb capacity.

  • Compatibility of Redline Replacement Axle Spindles with Dexter Hubs
TruRyde Spindles are indeed compatible with Dexter hubs, if the spindle is matched properly with the bearings your hub uses. To find the correct spindle, match the inside diameter of your inner bearing, outer bearing and grease seal to the dimensions of the bearing surface of the spindle, as shown in the photo I provided. You'll also need to match the weight capacity of the spindle with that of the axle.

Selection of a compatible hub for use on the Spindle # TRU57FR requires matching up the bearing set that fits this spindle (25580 inner bearing and LM67048 outer bearing) to the bearings in the hub. We do offer a number of hub kits that use this same bearing set and all can be seen on the link at right. We carry the # AS6000F spindle as part # TRU67FR. The spindle and the # 42655UC1 hub you mentioned aren't compatible. If you wanted to use the # TRU67FR (AS6000F) spindle, you'd need to use the compatible hub which is part # AH60880FCOMP. This is an agricultural hub which isn't meant for higher speed road use, and has an 8 on 8 bolt pattern which is pretty much relegated to farm equipment. • Are There Replacement 4,400 lb Spindles
We do not have replacement 4,400 lb spindles, the closest we can offer is a 5,200 lb spindle, the #42 Spindle # TRU57FR. You'd need new hubs as well since these spindles won't take 4,400 lb hubs, so for that you would need the Dexter Trailer Idler Hub Assembly for 5,200-lb Axles - 6 on 5-1/2 # 8-213-5UC1. I realize totally replacing your spindle and also hubs is not an ideal solution but I did at least want to mention it as something to consider.
