Made a nice little trailer to haul wife’s golf cart!

by:

Good kit with the necessary parts to replace leaf spring suspension. I welded the hangers rather than bolting them. The parts are not coated for the price point so you will need to paint them or they will rust immediately.

by:

I have been doing business with etrailer for several years and there deliveries, service and products are the best out there.

by:

A good source for trailer parts. For finding parts, you need to know the specs of the trailer, not necessarily the manufacturer. Thanks etrailer!

by:

Everything was just as I ordered it and it fits like a glove

by:

I inherited an aluminum trailer that ended up needing a complete overhaul and etrailer was the best resource I could have found. After researching extensively to find out what I needed and watching their videos on how to do it I ended up ordering an EZ-lube axle, galvanized hubs, springs and a hanger kit (in other words everything from the frame down).
Everything shipped quickly and arrived in great shape. All the parts worked perfectly and I couldn't be happier!

by:

All businesses should be like etrailer! The gal was so kind and knowledgeable to help my husband get the right leaf spring replacements. We ordered a tire last spring and the same, excellent service and prompt delivery. Thanks so much

by:

Received my parts today and after examining everything all looks good.
The quality of parts looks excellent and can't wait to start installing them.
Shipping was fast and arrived as they said.
Great company to buy with.
Will was very helpful and very knowledgeable about parts.
If you call would definitely ask for Will.

Great product. Exactly what we needed

by:

Great service, great value

by:

Product arrived just as described and very quickly. This kit was a great way to drop the springs on our trailer enough for the axle to be put on correctly.

by:

Springs & hanger kit worked well.

by:

by:

The axle hanger kit arrived today. I have done a dry setup; everything fits as expected.

Very good product, and Im very satisfied thank you

by:

my order arrived well packaged.
the parts
are every bit as good as OEM and went together nicely.

by:

Worked great on my 5x10 utility trailer

by:

I had to email customer service as I bracket was folded incorrectly so that the bolt holes did not line up. Upon recieveing my email, a replacement was on the way! EXCELLENT customer service. Thank you etrailer.

by:

The hangers look good and I believe they will do a great job. I need to move my axle back on my trailer so it will be able to haul some weight. It is a dump style body and can't handle weight, only on the front of the trailer. So I am going to move the axle back about 6 to 8 inches. The tracking info on the kit was great... ALL gratitude goes to your company...

  • Can I Use a 2" Hanger for a 1-3/4" Wide Leaf Spring
You want to make sure the hangers on your trailer have the same width as your leaf spring so if your leaf spring is 1-3/4" wide then you don't want to use a 2" or 2-1/2" wide hanger. It's true that you want the hanger bolts installed somewhat loosely so you leaf spring isn't binding, but you definitely don't want that much side to side play for your leaf springs inside your hangers. You either need to use wider leaf springs or you need to use smaller hangers like what you see with the...

  • Suspension Hanger Kit Recommendation for Single Axle Trailer
I'd go with a new hanger kit for your single axle Shorelandr trailer like with the part # APS4 so that you get all new mounting hardware that's designed to work together and the correct sizes. This kit is designed for smaller trailers like what you have and includes 3-1/8 inch long shackle straps like the # TRSL313.

  • Replacement Double Eye Leaf Springs For a Boat Trailer With 24-1/4" Long Leaf Springs
The 3-Leaf Double-Eye Spring # e59SR is the closest spring we have to the measurements you gave. First of all our double eye leaf springs are all 1-3/4" wide and these particular springs are 23-1/8" from eye to eye on center. Since springs will get longer as they flatten if you measured with weight on the springs there is a chance these could fit your trailer since completely flat they would 24-7/8" from eye center to eye center. Finally these springs are 1,750lbs per spring so it will...

  • Recommended Distance Between Hangers for 25-1/8 Inch Trailer Leaf Spring
The distance between hangers for your 4-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 3,500-lb Trailer Axles # e54SR should be 24-7/8". If you need a hanger kit, I recommend the Single-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit for Double-Eye Springs # APS4. I have attached a helpful table showing what the distance between hangers should be for different leaf springs, including your # e54SR.

  • Replacement Leaf Spring and Hanger Kit for Boat Trailer that Weighs 3,995 lbs
The best option is going to be a 4,500 lb leaf spring part # e27SR which is a double eye spring that is 26 inches long. For a single axle hanger kit to use with this since you'll need new hangers you'll want the part # APS4. You might be able to use your current u-bolt kit but if you need a u-bolt kit and you have 2 inch square axles you can then also use the part # CE23103. If you have a different size axle let me know.

  • Do All Suspension Bolts for Leaf Springs Need a Bushing
You need to have a bushing installed on each bolt that comes in the Single-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit for Double-Eye Springs # APS4. For this I recommend picking up the Nylon Bushings # SP05-060 which have the appropriate inner diameter and length for the hangers, and comes with 6 bushings to match the number of bolts in the kit. The only thing you'll need to check on is the 3/4" outer diameter to make sure these fit inside the leaf springs (if your leaf springs didn't come with bushings).

  • Typical Trailer Suspension Hanger Spacing Relative to Leaf Spring Size
On single axle trailers typically you put the hanger spacing right at 1/4 of an inch shorter than the leaf spring length from eye to eye center. So if you were using the leaf spring part # e54SR that you referenced which measures 25-1/8 inches long from eye to eye unloaded the hanger spacing you'd want to use would be 24-7/8 inches. The hanger kit for this leaf spring typically is the part # APS4.

  • Solution for Needing 31 inch Long Leaf Spring for 5,000 lb Boat
Since we don't have any 31 inch long leaf springs and I don't believe you'll be able to find the correct size anywhere else your best option would be to go with a spring like the part # e44SR which is 25-1/4 inches long and is rated for up to a 5,000 lb axle. You'll also need a hanger kit to mount these like with the part # APS4 and you'd be set.

  • Parts Needed To Replace Slipper Springs With Double Eye Springs
If your trailer truly has a front and rear bracket for double eye springs you can absolutely use the 4-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 3,500-lb Trailer Axles - 27" Long # SP-210275 you were looking at as a replacement. With that said while the hangers may look alike, they are typically not the same. This spring is designed for 3500lb axles so you will want to make sure that your trailers axle has the same rating. • Leaf Spring, Hanger Kit, and U-Bolt Kit Recommendation for a Boat Trailer
Let's start with leaf springs. For that you will want to pick a set that can handle the weight of your trailer when it is loaded (obviously). Since your boat weighs 3,000 lbs and we have to factor in the weight of your trailer the # e27SR would be a great choice as it is a 4,500 lb axle spring. • Can Trailer with Slipper Springs be Replaced with Double Eye Springs
You can replace slipper spring suspension on a trailer with double eye springs but you will need to remove the old hangers and have new ones installed as well as get the correct suspension mounting hardware. For a 26 inch spring we have the # e27SR which is for a 4,500 lb axle. For a hanger kit the part # APS4 would work great since it's for a single axle which comes with hangers, bolts, and shackles.

  • 3,500 lb Leaf Spring and Hanger Kit Recommendation for Homemade Trailer
You have a pretty interesting leaf springs setup on your trailer. It appears as if it is an automobile spring setup based on the length of the springs. That is a pretty small trailer, are you sure you want to go with such heavily rates springs? Going with higher rated springs will only give you additional spring capacity. If the axles or frame of the trailer aren't rated that high you don't effectively increase the capacity of the trailer. For a 3,500 lb spring the part # e54SR is a great...

The axle # e23GR is 3 inch in diameter so the shock kit part # RM-2460 will fit it. The hanger kit part # APS4 though is a single axle hanger kit and since the shock kit is for a tandem setup it's worth mentioning that and offering the tandem axle setup # H248. In order to find the correct replacement slipper spring you will need the length, width, and the capacity. The leaf count does not indicate capacity and is not important when determining a replacement. This information would also make a difference in the mounting hardware. For example, the 4-Leaf Slipper Spring w/ Open Eye End # e24SR is 27" long, 1-3/4" wide, and designed for 4,300 lb axles.
