Your shipping time went wrong, but Kelsey’s way of handling
My order with problems, made my respect level go up.
Also, on your website, you have a picture of equalizers that look American made, with your name on it. What I received was stamped China and looks cheap…..

by:

I needed it quickly because on stripped on my trailer and we were getting ready to leave the state in our Wold Pup.

I paid for the extra shipping and they got out and to me in 2 days. Thank you.

by:

These are the exact bolts used by the manufacturer of my trailer. I had a spring break after 10yrs use, so am replacing the springs and all the bolts at the same time, thank you to etrailer for the springs (ordered earlier) and now the bolts/nuts, all arrived quickly and accurately, you are my first choice for all trailer parts for my 7 trailers, thank you and keep up the good work!

by:

I payed to have items delivered on Friday and they weren't delivered until Monday, I was told that extra charge would be reimbursed to my cc, waiting to see if that happens. All products were excellent though. Will do business with etrailer.com again.

When I ordered my kit from etrailer to replace the double-eye leaf springs on my 1970 Shasta Trailer, I decided to save a few bucks and get the bolts at my local hardware store. Big mistake! You wouldn't think a simple 3 inch bolt would be hard to find in your local hardware store. But in fact, i checked five hardware stores and none of them had this particular bolt. What a waste of time! I should have learned my lesson by now, and just give all my parts business to etrailer.com. I have probably spent more than $1000 in the past several months refurbishing our 1970 Shasta. Totally satisfied with the selection at etrailer, and the service is second to none!

by:

Had a leaf spring break on my off-road trailer in Mexico. Left it at a boat yard until I received the parts from trailer & returned to replace. Only took 2 hrs to replace both leafsprinhs, shackles, bolts etc. And we were back on the road.

by:

The package was poorly shipped and the package came to me split open losing the nuts for bolts. these are special nuts and i can't just go to hardware store to buy some. When I called for replacement nuts they seemed to want to do things right. and said they would be expedited to me
Got a message the next day saying it is going to take 6 days to receive. That does sound like expedited to me. If it was packaged better I would have finished my project, now it is on delay .

by:

It worked great for my trailer.

by:

We have had great experience with eTrailer, These parts came in as described.

by:

I think etrailer is Great. I think their customer service is fantastic. My wife and I were in Arkansas, 1200 miles from our home in Ft. Myers Florida. I replaced the original springs on our trailer with new heavy duty springs, but never changed the hangers or bolts. Our trailer was riding very poorly, we needed new hangers and bolts badly because we were headed on a very long 9000-mile trip with many stops all the way to the Monterey CA. etrailer found us a UPS Store along our route to send us the parts that we needed. Many thanks to etrailer for great parts and Fantastic customer service and for helping us with our most Wonderful Adventure!

by:

We have had nothing but wonderful experiences with the Products from etailer. They have always been very professional and courteous on the phone and very knowledgeable. As a business owner myself, I would highly recommend etrailer.

I bought springs, shackle bolts, and u-bolts and plates. Everything was great and fit perfectly. Only issue were the u bolts which were not galvanized. However, at a local trailer store, I bought galvanized U bolts for $4.50 each.
For the DYIers, taking the old ones off took more than 4 hours for each side. My existing shackle bolts were so heavily rusted that I had to cut three off with a hack saw. Difficulty was confined space to operate hack saw with boat still on trailer. However, reassembling the new springs was less than 45 minutes each side.
Must have tools are large diameter 3/4-13/16-7/8 deep sockets (6 point), 2 2 foot long breaker bars and a can of PB blaster.
For safety: Good quality jack stands, minimum of 3--don't rely on the front trailer jack as it may roll.
By the way, I did these myself and I am 64 years old.

by:

Other than the parts taking a month to process, once they were gathered and packaged, they were delivered within 2 days! I replaced both sides with new 3-leaf double eye springs, 4 shackle straps, 6 shackle bolts, 2 Dexter U-bolt plates, and 2 U-bolts. They were really easy to replace and I did it quickly. Looks great, gonna take her out soon.

by:

worked perfect

by:

Perfect fit!

by:

I purchased the 3000# axle springs and all mounting hardware to replace the old ones on my 1963 travel trailer. My trailer no longer leans to the left and goes down the road better than new. I should have done it many year ago. I received my package on time and installation was easy and fit perfect. Thanks Bridget

by:

I am very pleased with the quality and obvious necessary strength of these shackle bolts and the locknuts. I do wish the free shipping incentive was "Orders Over $50" vs $99 as well as a quicker turnaround for delivery. I ended up having my local trailer guy providing the 3 shackle bolts I needed but I will use these to replace the other 3 eventually and have one to spare. Overall though, I am pleased with this order and appreciate etrailer.com having the selection of components I needed.

My trailer is still going strong and the last periodic maint check of my shackles, bolts, and nuts is A-OK.

by:

I bought a used Jon Boat trailer and first time out the shackle bolt gave out. Perfect fit for my application and I really like the way the nut was made so that it locked on the bolt. I used these with the Never Fail Bushings. I had to drill out the shackle to accommodate this beefy bolts but that wasnt a big deal. I ended up doing both sides that had standard bolts instead of wet bolts. Not sure why only 2 were regular 3/8 inch bolts.

Great product, great service, can't say enough good things about trailer...

The equilizers worked great I havent blown a tire yet thanks for all your help Ron

by:

I replaced my leaf springs and shackles on my trailer and these bolts fit perfect. They come with lock nuts and they definately won't be coming loose. If I had to do it again I would have bought an impact wrench to make the job go quicker.

by:

Worked perfect!

by:

Just what I needed

by:

I haven’t had a chance to install it yet. If It goes smooth
Y I think I will order the the upgrade package that was recommended by your agent.
For now I just wanted to get my camper back to factory specs.

  • Replacement Leaf Springs for Single Axle Trailer with 26 Inch Long Old Leaf Springs
Correct, the loaded and unloaded length for a leaf spring will be different. In order to choose the correct replacement you will need to remove all weight from one side of the trailer and then measure the eye to eye spacing of that leaf spring. The new leaf spring you choose should then be very close to this but it can also be a bit shorter as leaf springs will flatten out over time as they wear. The most likely replacement we have for you is part # e57SR which measures 25-1/4" long....

  • Can Double Eye Trailer Leaf Springs Install Without Shackles
Feel free to send me the pictures you have via email. If one side of the suspension hangers doesn't have a shackle setup you'll need to install some so that suspension can extend as it compresses. Otherwise it won't function well since the spring would have no where to stretch to as it compresses. For 3-1/8 inch shackles we have the part # TRSL313. Then for a shackle bolt that comes with a nut you'd want the part # 166081.

  • How to Tighten Shakle Links on a Utility Trailer Suspension
There usually is not a bushing in the upper bolt on the shackle links. When tightening the bolts on the shackle link you will want to get them tight but you do not want to over tighten them. Being tight will not keep the suspension from working properly but over tightening things could cause problems. The weight of the trailer and the suspension will allow the shackle links to move properly. When reinstalling the nuts on the shackle bolts make sure that you use locking style nuts so that...

  • Replacement Leaf Springs, U-Bolts, Shackle Straps, and Hardware for Three 7,000 Pound Trailer Axles
When replacing springs always replace them in pairs (2 springs per axle) but if you are going to replace all 6 then that is even better. When measuring a spring you have to do it with the weight off of the spring by either removing the spring or jacking up one side of the trailer and measuring on that side. The reason I bring that up is because the double-eye springs that we have do not have the exact measurements that you have provided. Spring # e64SR is a close option. Eye to eye it...

These would have been held in place by 3" Shackle Bolts # 166081 and Nylon Bushings # 721590 and Shackle Links # LC122487 on the ends of the equalizer. The best upgrade you can do is to replace the equalizer and all mounting hardware with the Dexter E-Z Flex Suspension Kit # K71-652-00. This kit has an equalizer that is designed to replace the curved equalizer with a width of 5-1/4" to...

These springs measure 27 inches eye-to-eye and are designed for axles up to 3,500 lbs. I have attached a photo of this spring that has the dimensions noted you can check out. When measuring the springs, the weight has to be removed from the springs. The leaf springs I recommend for your trailer are part # e84SR. This spring is designed to work with a 2,000 lb axle. With the Redline 6-Leaf Double-Eye Spring # e64SR for 7,000-lb Trailer Axles the correct nylon bushings to use are already included in with the spring. If you need shackle bolts to install the springs you can use either dry bolt # 166081 or wet (greaseable) bolt # 126B2. For a single axle trailer you can use hanger kit # APS1. For a u-bolt kit to mount your 3-inch axle to your springs you can use part # APUBR-8.

Neither variety of this part actually carries a weight capacity rating since the trailer weight is distributed across many of them.

The Never-Fail bushings # LC279685 are maintenance free and self-lubricating so they will be a better fit for you. • How to Pick Out Replacement Leaf Springs for 2007 Weekend Warrior Model CR3905
I was able to find out that your 2007 Weekend Warrior model CR3905 is triple axle trailer with a GVWR of 16k. That means for each axle you'd need a capacity of at least 5,333 lbs. Which means you most likely have 6k axles. We have a few options for that capacity for leaf springs but you'll need to measure the length of your current springs to be sure. If you have 26 inch long springs you'd need part # e94SR. If you have 25-1/4 inch long springs you'd need part # e78SR. You should note...

For 1-3/4 inch springs you will want the Shackle Bolt with Locknut for Double-Eye Springs - 3" Long # 166081. • Can I Replace 4 Leaf Springs With 5 Leaf Springs For The Axle On My Trailer
Yes, you can replace your 4 Leaf Springs with 5 Leaf Springs like part # e34SR as long as you replace all of the springs at the same time. There really isn't any advantage if you want to go with 5 leaf springs over 4 leaf springs. Typically, you always want to try to get the same parts to replace what you already have, but 1/8 of an inch difference per leaf spring won't make much of a difference in how everything fits together. The bolt features a grease zerk that would allow you to grease the inside of the bushing. Using the wet bolt would probably make the suspension a bit quieter as well as helping the component to last longer.

Appreciate that info, and to since leaf springs elongate a bit over time with use, you'll want to go with springs slightly shorter than 25-1/2 inches. And for a 20,000 lb tandem axle dump truck, I recommend 6,000 lb rated springs. So for the springs as well as mounting bolts what you'll need are the following: - 5-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 6,000-lb Trailer Axles - 25-1/4" Long # e34SR - Shackle Bolt with Locknut for Double-Eye Springs - 3" Long # 166081

This causes binding and it can bend or even brake the shackle straps, bolts and hangers. The sliding that you are experiencing on the rear axle is common for tandem and triple axle trailers and it is usually called scrubbing.
