Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the BulletProof Hitches Heavy-Duty Adjustable 2-Ball Mount for a two inch hitch, has a drop and a rise with a 22,000 pound gross towing weight capacity. Now, this 2-ball mount is designed to slide into your two inch hitch receiver, let you hook up your trailer to your tow vehicle, and up front here, you have the hitch balls, which provide the connection points for your trailer coupler. If you noticed, this offers you two different size hitch balls, you can do either the larger 2 5/16 diameter, or if you flip it over, you can do the two inch diameter hitch ball. This will let you tow trailers with different coupler sizes, and to switch the ball, it's pretty easy to do, you just simply remove the two pins, flip the ball platform, and then reinsert the pins. And just to show you how to do that, we'll go ahead and pull out the first clip, pull out the second clip, and basically, you just slide out the pin, slide out the other pin, and that'll let you remove the ball. more

It does have your standard 5/8 inch diameter pin hole there, so while it does not include the pin and clip, you probably already have one for your hitch, so just pass that standard 5/8 inch pin through there, and that'll keep it from wiggling its way out. Now, this is an adjustable ball mount, this will let you hook up your trailer to your tow vehicle. The shank right here is what'll slide into your 2 1/2 inch hitch receiver that's on your vehicle, and then upfront here, you can use either a 2 5/16 diameter ball or a two inch diameter ball to provide connection points for your trailer coupler. What's nice on this part is also includes this pintle lock accessory, and when this is paired with the larger 2 5/16 ball, it'll provide a connection point for a lunette ring coupler, and a lunette ring coupler you'll find on a lot of the heavy-duty trailers. Basically, it's just a large ring, and it's designed to drop over the ball, and I just wanted to pop up an insert to show you what we're talking about, there's a lunette ring coupler hooked up to this type of ball mount, you can see it drops over the ball. more

Now, this is a heavy-duty steel adjustable ball mount that'll let you tow up to 7,500 pounds with this two inch diameter ball, or if you flip it over, you can tow up to 10,000 pounds using the 2 5/16 diameter ball. This Brophy hitch is gonna be for your inch and a quarter hitch receiver. So you wanna make sure you have that size, but also this is only gonna be compatible with your class two hitches. This ball mount is gonna give us a gross trailer weight of 3,500 pounds, and a tongue weight of 300 pounds. Again, we wanna look at the hitch that is on your vehicle and make sure that it and the vehicle can withstand that kind of weight. This ball mounts gonna give us a five and a half inch rise from the top of our hitch receiver to the platform where the ball sits. It's also gonna give us a six inch drop, if we take this out and flip it around. more

Draw-Tite Drawbar Review 36051- Video
This Draw-Tite Ball Mount is gonna be for your inch and a quarter hitches, and you wanna make sure that your hitch is a Class II hitch, 'cause this is gonna need a Class II hitch, so you're not overloading your vehicle or the hitch. This ball mount's gonna be for you if your trailer is almost perfectly level. In the rise position, we're gonna have a 5/8 inch rise, and if we flip it over, we're gonna have an inch and a quarter drop. It is gonna come with a hitch pin and a clip, so that's nice that they threw that in. The diameter of the pin hole is 1/2 of an inch, and one thing it is not gonna come with is the ball, so we do wanna look at the coupler on the trailer you plan on hauling and make sure you get the right size for it. When it comes to this, the diameter of the ball hole is about 3/4 of an inch. more

Curt Class II Drawbar Review C45016- Video
This right here is the Curt Ball Mount, it's gonna be able to fit your inch and a quarter hitch receivers, either Class I or Class II. This ball mount's gonna give us a rise and a drop, so we're gonna be measuring from the top inner tube of our hitch receiver. So from there up to the rise position, it's about 2 5/8 of an inch, and if we flip it over, it's gonna give us a 3 1/4 inch drop. It does not come with the ball, so just look at the coupler on the trailer you plan on hauling and match it up with that, we have a lot of these on our website. The only thing you need to make sure of is that the shank of the ball has a diameter of 3/4 of an inch, 'cause that's how big the hole is on our ball mount. This is not gonna come with a hitch pin, you just wanna make sure when you do get one that it has a diameter of a half an inch, 'cause that's how big the hitch pin hole is. more

We have a 2014 Chevrolet Malibu. We're taking a look at the Curt inch and a quarter ball mount. On our Malibu, this is gonna be one of the better options that we have, just because it has a significant rise but we don't have any contact with our bumper. We are gonna have this one here which when you put it in, it is gonna contact the bumper. And it's pretty much unusable when this thing is basically on the ground. What we're looking at here at etrailer is the Curt heavy-duty forged ball mount. So these are gonna come in a couple different configurations when it comes to rise and drops. This one has a drop of 4 inches and it's gonna have an optional rise of 2 1/2 inches. So if we wanted to, we can take this ball off, flip it upside down, and then flip the whole entire ball mount, just depends on what you're really hauling. Comes with a 2 5/16 inch ball. So just make sure that lines up and is the right size for the coupler on your trailer, and we're gonna have a gross trailer weight capacity of 20,000 pounds. more

Curt Heavy Duty Forged Ball Mount Review C33JR- Video
What we have right here is the Curt Heavy Duty Forged Ball Mount. So this is gonna give us about an eight inch drop or a 6 1/2 inch rise. In the drop position, we're gonna have a gross trailer weight of 20,000 pounds, which is kind of a lot, and the tongue weight's gonna be 2,000 pounds. But if we we're to switch this over and then swap the ball over in the rise position, we're gonna have a gross trailer weight of 16,000 pounds and a tongue weight of 1,600 pounds. What really sets this apart from a lot of the other ones on the site is it is an extremely heavy and completely forged ball mount. This thing is absolutely heavy-duty, it isn't going to come with a hitch pin, but we do wanna just get a 5/8 inch hitch pin, 'cause there's not really a whole lot of play there. more

Hey everybody, how's it going Today we're gonna be taking a look at the CURT Rebellion XD shock-absorbing ball mount. So the main feature of this ball mount, and what really sets it apart from others is the built-in cushioning mechanism. So you can kinda see how these are two different pieces here, and there's gonna be some built-in rubber dampening sort of similar a torsion axle. Now, what this dampening does is, this is gonna help smooth out the ride. It's gonna make your trailer a lot less bouncy, and you're not gonna be feeling those road shocks and absorptions because everything is gonna be taking place right here in this little rubber cushioning. Therefore, we hit a huge pothole in our trailer, that's not gonna transfer the shock to our vehicle and us in the driver's seat. more

It's then going to provide this two and 5/16 inch diameter hitch ball to connect to your trailers coupler. This hitch ball does come pre-installed and tucked to the factory specifications. Now, this is an adjustable ball mount, this will let you hook up your trailer to your tow vehicle. This solid shank right here is what'll slide into your two inch hitch receiver on your vehicle, and up front, you'll have either a two inch diameter ball or a 2 5/16 diameter ball, which will provide the connection points for your trailer coupler. If you noticed, on this shank, it has six stacked two inch receivers, and they'll accept the included ball mount as well as other hitch-mounted accessories. Does use this single 5/8 inch diameter stainless steel pin and clip, and that's included to secure the ball mount to the shank. more
