Parts Needed to Install a 7-way on a 2005 Jeep Liberty
Question:
I just got a trailer hitch installed in my 2005 Jeep Liberty. I would like to add a wiring harness that is capable of connecting to a 7-pin RV-style trailer wire. It looks like C55382 is a good option to add the 4-pin harness but Id like to have the 7-pin. Do you have any other options? The trailer Id be using is set up with the 7-pinhence, the reason why Im after that type. Thanks for your help.

To install a 7-way on your 2005 Jeep Liberty you will first need to start with a 4-way like part # C55382 and then from there convert it to a 7-way.
If your trailer doesn't have brakes and all you need is lighting functions then all you would need is the part # 37185.
If your trailer has brakes instead of the # 37185 you would need the # ETBC7 and a brake controller. I attached install instructions and an install video for the # ETBC7.
For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup.
