Kit for a 2015 Ford explorer WITHOUT a tow package - Electrical AND Receiver information. This kit protects the vehicles electrical system? Isolates the trailer lights from vehicle lights?

Even without the factory tow package your 2015 Ford Explorer should have a connector under it at the rear. For a 4-way trailer connector use # 118540. Or if you need a 7-way use # 118272. I've attached videos of both being installed.
If you happen to need a brake controller, I recommend the Prodigy P2 # 90885 that is extremely easy to install and operate. Since your 2015 Ford Explorer does not have a factory tow package you can use the included wiring harness as a hardwire installation.
For a hitch, I recommend the Class-III 2-inch Curt trailer hitch # C13386 for your 2015 Ford Explorer. This is currently our most popular hitch for your 2015 Ford Explorer. I also suggest the compatible 2-inch etrailer.com ball mount kit # 989900. It includes two ball mounts with different rise and drops; two different size hitch balls, a pinning clip and the etrailer.com ball mount bag.
I have included a few installation videos, FAQ's and instructions for you as well.
