Trailer Hitch Mount Bike Rack Recommendation for a 2006 Honda Pilot
Question:
I recently had a 2.0inch trailer hitch installed on my 2006 Honda Pilot at a local dealer in Jersey City. Will I have to purchase special brands of bike racks or should I be able to work with just about any brand on the market?

Trailer hitches, no matter where they are installed or what brand they are, are standard sizes so you will be able to use any bike rack that fits a 2 inch trailer and clears the back of your 2006 Honda Pilot.
I recommend the Hitching Post Pro, # TH934XTR which has great features including anti-sway cradles to keep the bikes from hitting each other and the ability to fit both 1-1/4 inch and 2 inch trailer hitches. I have included links to video reviews of the bike rack for you.
If you will be carrying any bikes that do not have a top frame bar that goes straight across (like a typical men's bike would) then I recommend using bike adapter bar # 64005. This will allow you to carry those bikes more level and will provide better ground clearance. I have to use these adapters and without them my wife's bike would be at a severe angle and I would not be able to load my son's bike at all. I have linked a video showing how the adapter works.
